I'm playing RE7 and RE2R while complaining, why can't I be paid for all the insights I've gained?
See, you could say I can see there's some good to them, I mean I've been playing them so they certainly hook you in...
But they're not enjoyable like RE 4.
I fucking HATE stalker enemies that don't let me play at my pace and make me fear every corner, I hate it. And I hate the scary bullet sponge enemies that also happen to dodge a couple of shots in every encounter.
When I play RE 4, I don't need any guides. -The levels and weapons are so well designed, I just move forward with minimal pauses - RE7 and RE2R seem to be made of pauses. I pretty much play them while reading a guide at all points since I don't want to be lost, miss any item or be scared. So I advance a small section and have to read everything. Backtrack. Go to the next part. Curse the developers for making enemies so hard as I struggle to survive 2-3 enemies. Read what's next.
I wouldn't be able to do it without a guide.
RE4 however? There's nothing to use a guide for, you got your weapons and always know where to go next, I love it, I get to PLAY to my heart's content killing whatever the gamerl throws at me
It's still difficult at times scary, but never claustrophobic
