what the fuck is a transmog?

transmog is a term from mmos (think wow had it first?) where you layer a cosmetic style you want from one piece of equipment onto what youre currently wearing for stats. E.g. you wanna wear your level 5 stinkshirt you got from farmer johnson instead of your level 200 armor of the godbutcher.

Yeah it doesnt just apply to armor but weapons too. Some call it transmog from wow, monster hunter calls it layer armor and i believe ffxiv calls it glamours.
