The Xbox consoles were always shit and back in the day Plastation completely mogged them
But if I had to buy one of eithers new consoles I would go for an Xbox now
Not because Xbox is suddenly good, it's still shit, but because Playstation nosedived harder than any other console manufacturer in history
The PS3 was the last one that was still alright as a console but it already struggled with a small library
The PS4 and PS5 are trash tier consoles with trash tier libraries

Let me fix this for you while also not being too bias in the other extreme.

Microsoft pros
>a fuckheug but cool looking console (especially this green one) that was for its day the most powerful console hardware on the market
>had a lot of interesting games at least with many worth playing
>usually had the better third party ports due to the more powerful hardware
>halo was lots of fun online
>a lot of fun online games
>paved the way to popularizing online for console gaming even though it wasn't the first and it didn't do it the strongest of any console either (arguably 360 deserves the most credit but I digress)
>internal HDD for saves was great

Microsoft cons
>well, it popularized online gaming which has in truth actually also ruined games (double edged sword)
>popularized monetization after purchasing your game with DLC
>needed to do a controller revision since many (mostly the japs) weren't feeling the duke (although I liked the controller)
>for a minute it did seem like halo would be Microsoft's only worthwhile franchise
>time clock issue people didn't know until way after its release (this will damage the motherboard)

That said, this in a sense to me is still Microsoft's "best" console arguably. At least in terms of Microsoft giving their best actually honest effort while keeping their scummy business practices mostly to a minimum with this gen. Its also still their best looking console and outside of the motherboard problem its their sturdiest console from what I seen. The 360 ends up being better overall although its RROD start is so bad that it almost buried the brand if Microsoft didn't do nothing drastic to make apologies for their shit. I love sixth gen overall so I give heug an A anyways.
