You owned nothing but you loved it. What changed?

Why do you hate gamepass user?

You've never been to a blockbuster, zoomer. Peddle along, you'll never understand. Nigger

It costed 5 bucks to rent for 3 days or 7 if it was older. Shit was cash

Because Any Forums said BRO THEYRE TAKING EVERYTHING BRO BUGS BRO JOOZ BRO POD

>he didn't use different cards and IDs to not pay anything for games he never returned from years prior

I don't hate gamepass. Blockbuster killed itself sooner than streaming would have. THQ also killed itself. Before everything was 100% online stimulation going to Blockbuster meant you were going to have a fun weekend. Tv always sucked.

i'd rather spend 10 dollars and buy a game i enjoy rather than spend 10 dollars a month for 100 games i dont give a shit about

I rented and then burned the movies that I liked

> borrowing a physical copy pre internet being the same as limited digital downloads in a post internet era.

Blockbuster had the option to buy instead of rent you dumb fucking digital zoomer

That option still exists now

Fuck that gets me everytime lol

>he doesn't know about buy burn return

>literally mind broken by a meme
Holy shit what a sad existence. Thank God I'm not you.

renting is great when it's an option, but not when it's THE option.
Renting physical things is also way different than renting digital things, in the same way that the concept of physical property is different than that of intellectual property. Information isn't scarce in the way physical things are so it feels a lot more arbitrary.

>Checking to see if any new games are put out and trying to grab it before someone else
>Renting the same game over and over until you beat it
>picking a random game to play because the cover looked cool
>Mom letting you get 1 bag of candy.
>trying not to look at the covers of scary movies while walking by the aisle.
God I miss it.

i used to steal movies and games from blockbuster.

And i pirate and do credit card fraud for my games nowadays.

You miss being a child. That's it

>You owned nothing but you loved it
I could make an educated decision to buy or not buy my own copy.
Gamepass just offers you shit on the expectation that you won't just buy it outright, nullifying the need for the gamepass.
Simple as.

With these places being in decline, has the closure of stores like this affected our health? I mean, imagine a bunch of snotty booger encrusted kids running up and down the aisle touching every box and and every rental.

>Stringent late fees
>New and popular movies where hard to get
>Having to base your daily schedule on getting to a blockbuster
>Games were relatively expensive for rent
>Most disk games where scratched to shit
>A random employee could just decide to hold you liable for returning something is the same condition that was already damaged

Blockbuster was shit and died off for a reason.

OP outed himself as a child who shouldn't be here, lol. Get a load of this retard. You don't even know what Blockbuster was, only on the internet.

I would go to the blockbuster with a pocket knife and break the yellow locking mechanism then take out the games. You remember those CD cases you would keep in your car? Yeah I had all the PS2, Xbox and GameCube games you could ever need absolutely filled to the brim

user's brain was broken by one post. Any Forums might be a bit too much for you, bud.

As opposed to 10$ a month?

Kek’d

Because if I liked it I kept it and if I didn’t like it I’d give it back, thus preventing me from seeing it again.

Always thought it was weird my town had a blockbuster and Movie Gallery right across the street from each other, but they always stocked different games so it was a win for me I guess.

>credit card fraud
how do you do it, user? I've been thinking of trying to get retro games off of Amazon for free

But you can do that now?

Why did they use porn star james deen for this ad?

It was good being able to rent a game for a while to try it out.

>Can rent game from comfort of my house with a few minutes to hours
Vs
>Have to drive down to rental store and share a cum soaked old game disc with 100 over people for high price

>It's better cause uh physical disc or something

Wot
