X360 Emulator

Why did no one tell me that X360 emulation was so good?

The times in which AMD's CPUs weren't suitable for emulation are no more. They haven't been for a while.
Their GPUs on Windows are still shit though.

>360 emulator
>only to play rockstar walking sims
wake me up when NG2 is playable.

>The times in which AMD's CPUs weren't suitable for emulation are no more. They haven't been for a while.
Ryzen largely fixed their single-threaded performance but Intel is still better at it, they still retain the emulation advantage
>Their GPUs on Windows are still shit though.
This is not true.

AMD GPUs only really suck on Windows for OpenGL, and Xenia uses DX12

>AMD GPUs only really suck on Windows for OpenGL
this is not true anymore.

I was keeping it a secret from you as a joke.

My game still doesn't work.

I didn't say AMD's CPUs were better than Intel's now, I simply said that they're suitable for emulation (and they are.)
>This is not true.
Yes, it is.

>AMD GPUs only really suck on Windows for OpenGL
Yeah, but that's enough of a red flag if you're into emulation at all desu.

>this is not true anymore.
Bullshit.

>AMD GPUs only really suck on Windows for OpenGL
should update your script reddit parrot, go read what the last drivers they released do

any emulator still using OpenGL probably isn't worth using anyway
even PCSX2 has Vulkan now

but it looks like is right

AMD literally just fixed OpenGL. Minecraft of all things was advertised as having almost double the performance.

Someone should give this a try too.

They literally just pushed a complete rewrite of their Windows OpenGL driver into the newest optional driver release. Performance is up across the board, minimum 33% gains.

I just want them to make Lost Odyssey playable from beginning to end without audio issues and soft locks. Is that too much to ask?

hoping that psvita and ps4 also kickstarts because i really want to re-play gravity rush

Holy shit...
I wish it didn't take them many fucking years, but that's legit awesome. I'm glad they got their shit together. Depending on how well/bad they fare against the NVIDIA equivalets, I might just go buy one for my next GPU.

I work for Rockstar and you're better off waiting for remastered RDR1 for PC and next gen, its coming in 3 and a half years now due to being shelved yes but we've had to port it into the RDR2 engine and do a few things from the ground up. It will be the definitive version and Red Dead Nightmare is included as well. I will dash your hopes and tell you online isn't.

Wait until you learn about the 5800X3D

still shit, good for MMO's though.

>just wait 3 and half years, dude!
lol

>I simply said that they're suitable for emulation (and they are.)
they're always inferior to their intel equivalents. that was the point of my post.

im@s 2 don't work 100% so is a waste right now

how much stuff even uses opengl on windows? (besides minecraft)

>X360 emulation was so good
>RDR1 still caps at ~15 fps in towns

I've seen this post so many times over the years.
If you emulate do NOT get AMD. SIMPLE FUCKING AS.

Did you see me telling you to kys when you used your time machine too?

1. The only cap was 30fps, it ran below that at times on consoles, but it was a cap
2. It only ran that shit on PS3, the 360 port didn't drop that bad
3. You don't even need that highend a CPU and GPU to run it 30fps locked on Xenia
4. You can completely turn off the 30fps cap on emulator

Fable 2 status: kinda buggy but playable
Tenchu Z status: visually buggy as shit unless AMD gpu, but playable
