You really shouldn't choose an Intel GPU.
Driver compatibility issues will give you a headache.
It's as bad as the Xbox store on pc.

This whole thing is a dumpster fire and rumors have it that Intel might just shit it down all together. It's over

when does 40X0 releases? the prices of other gpu's will go down bit right?

>the prices of other gpu's will go down bit right?
lmao

>Driver compatibility issues will give you a headache.
This.
Sadly, being an early adopter for this is asking to get fucked.
Unless they price it incredibly well, then the driver woes might, maybe, possibly, be justified.

>intel gpu
LMAO

ye

pandemic pc building newfag

I saw a youtube video of some guy hyping up the AV1 encoding who gives a shit when the gaming performance is shit? Oh great I can better stream my terribly performing GPU gameplay to twitch thanks incel

only really makes sense if you're fine with paying to basically be a beta tester. nothing really wrong with that though.

>I saw a youtube video of some guy hyping up the AV1 encoding
As if th next Nvidia and AMD GPUs won't have this too.

AMD won't, NVIDIA probably will.

> spend a decade building iGPUs and developing drivers for it
> decided to create their first dGPU
> thing gets dalyed for years because the old architecture is garbage
> build new architecture from scratch but now drivers don't work well
> need to develop new drivers from scratch, delaying the launch ever further
> new drivers are, to no one's suprise, extremely buggy, have shit performance and barely work
> intel is now thikning of canceling everyting because of the poor state ARC is at right now and how much work there's still left to make the GPUs work correctly.
Man.

>av1 encoding
Why should I give a shit about this?

>their first dGPU
he doesn't know kek

GPUs will never be affordable again and soon you won't even be able to buy them without connections. You'll rent them.

Twitch is adding support for it in the near future.
Here's a demo: twitch.tv/yshen/video/637388605?filter=highlights&sort=time

You shouldn't. Intel is trying their hardest to brand it as a feature and a selling point

>6GB DDR6
>2022
kek

You won't unless streamers start using it and you watch twitch

Isn't this about decoding?
I thought we were talking about encoding?

You won't unless you stream or make videos

>You'll rent them.
Nope
We will simple don't need them for gayming since iGPUs are the fucking future

What? Twitch will allow streaming in AV1 in the future. That means GPUs require AV1 encoding. AV1 decoding has been available for over two years now.

>since iGPUs are the fucking future
this nigga still riding the AMD APU train
