Arkham Origins

why did people hate it?

No idea, because it's the best Batman game.

Literally just because it didn't add enough new stuff compared to Arkham City
Somehow just getting more of the same good thing is not enough for these fags

This

Exactly this. The game is fairly buggy though but not enough to say it's garbage.

It really just depends on the type of game. Open world games full of filler are harder to play again compared to more linear action games

Still disgusted.

People were ready to hate it because it wasn't rocksteady. It's actually very good and the Christmas setting is comfy

Art direction, level design, and overall polish are all worse than the other Arkham games
The amount of recycled content(even specific animations like the Ras Al Ghul QTE for Deathstroke) makes the game feel cheap/lazy
The story was an alright Year One/Knightfall remix but suffers from some of the assassins being wasted and Joker being forced into the story(Knight did that much, much worse though)

It has the best story and boss fights. Also the best Joker (not voice)

It was just more Arkham City but buggier and with a shittier story
Why in the fuck did they feel the need to shoehorn Joker into the plot instead of having literally anyone else as the main villain?

Well it was great up until Joker's reveal because I actually thought we were getting a competent Black Mask storyline

Origins could’ve been easily skipped since it was just Arkham City 1.5 with a shittier Batman/Joker origins story. Then the lack of the original VA’s just adds to it.

This, the fucking bugs broke the game. I got the game as some bundle or something on GoG, was playing through and enjoying the game. Then the boss I was fighting rolled into a wall and softlocked the game. Then I entered a door and the world went black and my game-save was permanently locked in the black void. And despite claiming they would fix the severe bugs, they never did.

It’s really baffling because Bane is great in Origins he easily could have carried the game by himself

WTF? Why would a CM come out and say this instead of just ignoring the people complaining?

needed Catwoman but it's got my favorite Batman portrayal and depiction of Gotham in the series.
Also best story.

It’s kinda buggy, the open world map is terribly designed, and the grapple ledges sometimes don’t work, take forever to appear, appear below you, or never on structures they should for no reason

I actually really like the game and was able to finish it but this was the reason I waited till it was about £5 before buying.

>Knight
>great story
Opinion discarded

The dark knight system was pretty damn stupid to lock in stuff like critical hits or the sonic batarang behind it.
Like it worked fine for three of the categories but is completely busted for the stealth category where it refuses to unlock shit, doesn't unlock retroactively and Origins has no dedicated respawning predator rooms so if you miss your window on one challenge you can end up locking yourself out of that entire tree in a playthrough. It was so dumb if you're going for completionism's sake.
