ITS PAYNE

A studio filled with people that knows how to make shooter. Nowadays any decent talents will be poached by soulless publisher to create generic soulless games

That's not Max Payne 3

Finnish autism.

You're right, it's not. Fortunately. Since MP3 was so bad, it shouldn't be even considered an official game.

Playing for 20 seconds and then watching a 20 second cutscene and then playing for 20 seconds again ad nauseum isn't fun. At least in Max Payne the cutcenes were stylish and also didn't happen in the middle of action.

>tfw your Max Payne folder is on a different computer
Next time.

>is the better max payne game but far too fucking short in your path

I realise that from an innovation perspective the first game is a big deal and very important, but from a purely gameplay perspective I prefer the second, everything feels smoother and more refined, even though the story sucks.
If it wasn't for the cutscene problem, MP3 would be the best in the series though.

Why does the vita version require so many steps to play

MP3 is garbage

even if you somehow managed to cut out every single instance of the game taking control away from the player it would still blow ass.

>dumb as fuck story about Max trying to save some influencers
>dogshit level design
>2 weapon limit
>favela favela favela favela favela WAREHOUSE favela favela favela HOTEL favela

It's worse. Gunplay feels shit, story is utter shit.

Sorry, OP here
i posted the wrong pic

just go to /r/VitaPiracy and look for a thread with vpk + datafiles and just copy to your Vita

I've been playing a few 360-era third person shooters lately and it's amazing how shit they feel compared to a game from 2001

I have a confession, Any Forums. It's worse because i'm not some zoomer who doesn't play old games, it just slipped through the cracks. I've only ever played Max Payne 3. I had a friend I used to watch play them as a kid, but I never owned them, and by the time I had money or learned to pirate, the window had closed. So are they still worth going back to? Any mods or fan patches you'd consider essential that don't change the core experience?

MP1 requires a widescreen patch and another patch that fixes the audio, check the steam forums.

Look here for the missing audio fix and widescreen patches.

>dumb as fuck story about Max trying to save some influencers
No, they were an ultra-rich family who had tons of connections with politicians and law enforcement. Only the younger brother was an "influencer". The other two were more important.
>dogshit level design
No, it's pretty good for the most part, at least for a cover-based third person shooter.
>2 weapon limit
Meh, I don't think this is a big issue either way.
>favela favela favela favela favela WAREHOUSE favela favela favela HOTEL favela
You obviously haven't played the game in a long time, you're very forgetful. Max Payne 3's level settings are far more diverse and unique than either of the other games. It's actually its best quality.
>1. Penthouse apartment
>2. Nightclub
>3. Football stadium
>4. NYC alleways and apartments
>5. Swamps
>6. Office building
>7. Favela
>8. Cemetary
>9. Favela
>10. Bus depot
>11. Cruise ship
>12. Decrepit skyscraper
>13. Police station
>14. Airport
This is VASTLY more variety than MP1 or 2.

Absolutely based.

Yeah, it's kind of odd, played Max Payne 1 sometime last year and it was surprisingly great, I don't know if I'd say it's the best TPS I've ever played though.
