It can't be that hard, user. Just learn to Dodge Offset, and start mixing moves around. PPKP into After Burner Kick is a great start if you want to juggle enemies.

I still can't beat bloody palace or DMD mode but I love it.

I have beaten this game on NSIC without using healing items and I have never once felt like I was actually good at it. 90% of the tools it gives you are not realistically usable outside of normal mode, so you're reduced to playing like a fucking faggot in order to survive.

My biggest gripe with Bayo is that Witch Time is just about useless. Enemies still counter and combo break you mid combo while in WT so I'm not sure what it actually accomplishes outside of puzzles and the few fights where evading projectiles is important.

WT is not a mechanic you're supposed to rely on, there's a reason NSIC removes it almost completely. WT (Or rather, Bracelet of Time) does serve a single purpose on NSIC though. It prevents enemies (mostly Joys) from dodging Wicked Weaves.
