Any reason why Shu didn't win, when they had both fucking pang tong and kongming??

Sima Yi is literally the only reason why Wei survived since he was a fucking boss mother fucker.

because rotk is revisionist history and the sun family was more likely to win than liu gay was

they had aces and a solid backstory but liu bei is just too much of a pansy hypocrite

PT got murked
Zhuge Liang was a great strategist but China is a big place and a great mind can't be everywhere at once.
Zhao Yun was loyal to a fault.
Guan Yu was an incredible warrior, and developed a massive ego. Said ego led to his death.

All of their generals just fucking die during their campagin. Rip my nigga pang tong.

Are any of the rotk games fun? Having played DW and watched the tv series, having control over the strategies and conquering and shit sounds appealing but I fear that the games are more about RNG and farming materials and shit.

it rained

They're difficult to get into, and once you managed to understand the mechanics, the game devolved into a map painter, which is kind of boring.

Guan Yu was killed by his own hubris
Zhang Fei by his stupidity and malice
Liu Bei is a hypocrite
Shu a shit

Wei was as big as the other two combined, Cao Cao winning the north off Yuan Shao was the biggest upset of the era
Without Jing Shu is a mountainous shithole, Zhuge Liang and later Jiang Wei was in a lose-lose situation where either they burned away resources in offensive campaigns for a foothold down there, or held out and got conquered eventually by a bigger faction
Also Wei guys were more competent than RoTK makes them out to be

The Mandate of Heaven found the Han wanting, and Shu failed to read the Heaven's Will.

japanese Sima Yi

Zhuge Liang wasn't as great a tacitian in reality as he is claimed to be, he was more of a statesman and politician, which is why his northern campaigns went so shit. Liu Bei was actually a better commander than they portray, which makes sense since he was doing it for decades all throughout china, but some of his accomplishments are downplayed and given to others to make his men seem better. Pang tong died in iirc the battles for jiang ling territory, so he was only with liu bei a bit, a stray arrow got him cause he tried to lead an offensive to gain glory. If he'd lived he'd likely have been a great strategist for liu bei for war. His main strategy guy was a dude he got after taking liu zhangs territory in shu. Fi Zheng I think, can't remember his name.

Also, after liu bei won at han zhong and beat cao cao on that side, sun quan betrayed liu bei, again, and killed guan yu for jiang ling territory, because sun quan kept getting his ass kicked by zhang liao at he fei, north of wu territory, and was envious of liu beis success. Wu made the three kingdoms by allying with liu bei and beating cao cao at red cliffs, and then ended it with their betrayal.

That is because Cao Cao believed in merit not nobility and routinely promoted commoners of talent and that merit based promotion system is also what Sima Yi used and is why you get a guy like Deng Ai who was a very minor low ranking son of some official in bum fuck nowhere who also suffered from a stutter but also was a fucking chad and solo'd all of Shu himself.

The thing about Wei/Jin was they love trading more than waging war thus they won the war, Shoe and Who were all about waging war.

It wasn't his ego. Sun Quan was gonna attack him no matter what. He couldnt beat zhang liao and was envious of liu bei, he wanted all of the territory in south middle china liu bei had. By that point liu bei had already given him iirc chang sha, ling ling, and jiang xa to placate him, but he wanted it all.
>they promised him
thats just a novel thing, they gave him the city of jiang ling cause he was surrounded by him after he took the 4 southern prefectures, there was no loan. Wu made it up to seem like less of a traitor. Why would liu bei ever promise all his territory for one city? Makes no sense. Wu gave it to him cause all he could attack atm was them and they wanted a united front. Sun Quan was the worst thing to happen to shu, sun ce's kid should have inherited or sun ce should have lived.

Looks like a brat who would fall for the schemes of Zhuge Liang

it's also what got the cao family usurped from china by the sima family, which led into the 7 princes rebellion, which weakened china to the point where they were conquered by the barbarians to the north for the next few centuries.
