"lore" youtubers baiting 12 year olds with stuff like "icebergs" and poppy playtime, backrooms and the like. they grab onto anything trendy and arbitrarily expand on it in their own unique and creative way (read: bland and lowest common denominator) to cater to kids who live their life on NuRoblox.
the sad thing is, there's a big group of autists who also in a childlike way latch onto that stuff unironically.
shit pisses me off because the iceberg meme was funny, but it lasted literally less than a year on Any Forums when the mario 64 decomp/beta file stuff was happening, when some shitty NuTubers got wind of it and sucked out every bit of irony in it. it literally was not a joke anymore, it was made to be ironic and funny but some retard missed the punchline and actually took it seriously. thus the 10 gorillion iceberg videos about whatever shitty topic.
