Is this game worth the 20 bucks?

is this game worth the 20 bucks?

No. It will never be.
Ignore it and never look back.
Unless you want Granny's Cream

Yes.
It's really cool.
It's so much fun.

Genuinely one of my favorite games in the past few years, can’t wait for the sequel.

if you want a web-browsing sim sure

Yes. It's unironically one of the best-written games of all time

>The player assumes the role of an "Enforcer" for the fictional company Merchantsoft—creator of Hypnospace—and seeks to police illegal content, copyright violations, viruses, and cyberbullying by users on the service.
>polices cyberbullying
Sounds like a bona-fide tranny game.

No, because it's old and has been on sale for $10.

Can't wait to play Zane's game

Literally what part of that sentence suggests anything about trannies, you schizo? It was written by a white Christian male. The religious themes in the game are subtle but they're there

A tranny game doesn't have to have trannies in it. It just a game that trannys obviously will play and be drawn to.

The only good cristian game

It's more of a 10-15 dollar game if you ask me, but still worth your time.

It takes place in an alternate year 1999 and the one real case of cyberbullying you deal with centers on two twelve year olds, each with a fake girlfriend, having a slap fight.

It's actually prety pro-conservative game

Do you miss the late 90s early 2000s internet?
Then yes.

I love this game. If you grew up with the internet in the late 90's, it's a total trip. Every character in this game I either knew, or was.

zoomers are going to fall in love with this series when dreamsettlers (the sequel set in the early 2000s) presses all their nostalgia buttons like hypnospace did for millennials

From the game and dev commentary you can tell that this dude clearly loves the old wild west internet. He wanted someone to make a game about it and he ended up making it himself.

It's interesting to think that his Christian views actually improved his writing. On the commentary stream he said that he didn't want any of the characters to be one dimensional one-off jokes since if everyone's made in the image of god then every person would be infinitely complex and have more sides to them. One of the great feats of the game is that you can feel like there's an actual person behind each website and it makes the simulation just that much better.

Can't wait for Dreamsettler.

I used Windows XP a lot, so I'm excited to see where they go with it.

Gen Z starts in 1997, the oldest zoomer would be 6 by the year this game is modeled after. And the average would be even younger. How many kids do you know that were properly internet-savvy that young? The people who're gonna be nostalgic over this would have to have been like, 9-12 in 2003.

poor attempt at falseflagging

Neat idea, comfy aesthetic. It's kinda boring and aimless though
