Do you prefer playing in 1st person if given the choice?

I think for some games it works nicely and increases immersion. Constantly breaking to third person like nuDeus Ex does is horrible, lean works better and feels more balanced than that, especially if there's some sort of danger of being spotted when leaning
Angel Robinson
I find 3rd person to be more interesting than 1st person overral. 1st person is nice to experience for a while when it is possible (GTA V FPS mode or Max Payne 3 FPS mod for example) but on the long run games just feel more comfortable and enjoyable if I can see the character from a distance. However, depending on the game may be true. Some games just fit 1st person better, like hidenseek horror games such as Alien: Isolation and Outlast

Yes, but only if i can see my chracter like that.
I fucking hate whan i can't see my legs in a videogame
Aiden Perry

No

Really depends on the game. Some games have one implemented really well and the other is tacked on, some do both really lazily. Few do both really well.
but I think overall I probably prefer playing in first-person when there's a choice, e.g. Elder Scrolls, Fallout, Battlefront, Arma

I don't have problem even with first person platforming, that zero punctuation wokefag saying you need 3rd person to do platforming, nigger your walkspeed is a constant in games, it shouldn't take long for you to realize where you are when your walk or sprint speed is the same always. Games like Mirror's Edge and Dying Light did platforming with it just fine
Liam Garcia
I like switching back and forth every now and then, depends on the view
Is that NV? How the fuck did they get the cleavage that nice looking

Yes, i would totally make my hp bar a fucking tiny thing you have to look down at and completely take focus off combat!
Chase Baker
so just like most games then? because it's usually shown in the corners instead of the center where your eyes are looking

1st person with body > top down view >>> 3rd person = 1st person with no body

It's rather simple - playing video games is an inherently homosexual activity.
Landon Phillips
i occasionally play female characters so i can become attached to them and draw fetish porn of them when i finish the game
Lincoln Reed
this logic could extend to real life. being in a man's body is gay, having a dick and feeling pleasure from it is gay, etc. thing is, the definition of homosexuality is about being attracted to men. if you're not sexually attracted to the masculine form then you're not gay, simple as
James Howard
but enough about you

Yes, fpp in gtav was best idea ever and it made game way more enjoyable.
As I'm ok with third person, over shoulder camera is big no no for me and I hate it. I remember playing some horror and I couldn't get through doors because character on side of the screen and not where I was pointing.
