Imagine, if you will, there was a game that took place in Cyrodiil 200 years after the Oblivion Crisis. Instead of being about the crumbling but still existent Empire though, everything was still leveled to the ground and burnt like the Daedra just invaded. Imagine that the largest settlement isn't the Imperial City, but instead some town of shacks surrounding an intact Oblivion gate. Imagine that the only way you could traverse the Imperial city was through the sewers. Imagine that there were Ash Zombies everywhere, marauding over the Heartlands Wasteland with the only explanation as to why they're there is there's a Sixth House ash statue in a cave somewhere. And that they've always been all over Cyrodiil since before Oblivion.
And this all takes place after Skyrim. Imagine how retarded that would be, because that's Fallout 3.
