Too much power draw

>too much power draw
>likely to be even more expensive than the 30 series
>games are still being made for the PS4
>current-gen consoles are as good as a 2070 Super at best
>energy bills are through the roof and we're heading towards a recession

Who's going to buy this shit?

>tfw 5700XT and 3600 to last me until the end of this console gen
Not me.

I have a 6700k / 1070 and I'm going to get a 13900k / 4080

>Cards haven't even been revealed
>TOO MUCH POWER DRAW
>LIKELY TO BE MORE EXPENSIVE
Couldn't you faggots wait a month instead of screaming like women about things you don't know?

This. We have no idea what the prices will be.

They won't be cheap. That's for sure.

We have had 4 at least consecutive gens of prices going up from Nvidia. Why would they back off on this after they're most sucessful gen ever that was the most overpriced so far?

Daily reminder that crypto and covid had fuck all to do with the 1st initial price hike.

>bought a 3070 for below MSRP
Not my problem. Cucksoles will be playing catch-up for atleast 6 years.

Less efficiency is a good thing if you're buying graphics cards to play games with. You won't even notice the difference in cost if you're just running one of them some of the time.

Yes it is called scientific compute and shit. Their compute cards are even more ridiculously expensive and they sell all of them.

Stupid opinion. At best you could claim most won't notice the difference, but it isn't a good thing.

I'm interested to see the price and performance of the 4060. I have a 2060 Super that I'm pretty happy with for the most part, but I'd like better 1440p performance without turning shit off or down. If the 4070 is hitting 3090 levels, maybe it will hit 3080 levels.

>If the 4070 is hitting 3090 levels
lmfao
Not gonna happen.

More power draw not only requires many to buy new power supplies but also directly correlates with heat output. This gen already had ridiculously sized heatsinks so I expect next gen to be a Fermi tier jet engine.

>Nvidia won't continue their trend of increasing prices because...they just won't ok?

Fermi had undersozed heatsinks for it W output though. We already have cards above Fermi in W that don't get as hot.

Yeah, that does seem suspect

>tfw 980ti still going strong

3070 matched 2080 ti performance.

We're not going to have that same leap in peformance again for a few years.
