Blame Artix and his rapid expansionist idea. Instead of focusing on polishing Quality over Quantity, they've focused more and more on projects and away from the Single Player aspect. They weren't even prepared for 3D, yet went ahead and made a game with AQW's mechanics with the shitty 4 skill system and pretending is a vast MMO with layers of intricacy like Runescape or WoW.
