Is 750w enough for a 3060ti

So I got myself a 3060 ti and an i9 9900k and I have a 750w psu, is it enough? When I play some games the psu is a lot louder and it sounds like it's having a hard time. Sounds like a florescent light sometimes.

Depends on overclocking
I have 10400f and 3070ti(which is 290w) on 650w PSU and i never had any problem.

shouldn't have gotten a cheap off-brand psu

It's absolutely enough and it's not even close

shouldn't have gotten a housefire CPU

Fucking overkill, you barely need a 600w for that shit.

yes 750w is sufficient

If it wasn't, your PC would crash

I have a Corsair RM750 gold

I survived on a 1080 until a few months ago, you'll be fine

I've had it crash once, but on the off-hand, I've had it for 5+ years now

Yes, it's enough. If not, it would just simply turn off. I hope you didn't buy some shit brand PSU though, as they lose max capacity over time and good brands account for that.

oh you meant psu, yeah it's way more than enough

OP here
I have a Corsair RM750 Gold
I've had it for 5+ years now. its crashed once because of power already, but only once. I got the card a week and a half ago

I'm using a evga rtx 3070 with a 650w psu. A 3060ti will be fine

that sounds weird for an A-tier PSU
i have their SF750 plat (same tier) with a 3060 ti and absolutely no issues, 750W is overkill unless your GPU is dogshit and can't handle the transient spikes

OP here, I am aware that it gets FUCKING hot in my room during the summer, but nice and cozy in the winter

Should be fine then. I use a shitty OEM model from be quiet since 10 years, never had an issue. If it does crash again, you will know why.

*unless your PSU is dogshit

ok thanks anons, if anything I'm now speculating it might be some sort of malfunction with my psu

Yeah im beginning to think that, thanks for helping me out anons

You could try to run furmark and prime95 at the same time so you have maximum power draw and see if it crashes.

yes.

Cheap off-brand PSU is actually better for 3000 series cards because the transient spikes trigger higher-end PSU's to shut off, while lower-end PSUs are much more likely to allow more power to be drawn than they are probably rated for.

I have a 550W and a 3080Ti so it's more than enough.

Stop using bronze.

3060 ti + 11700k + rgb here, running all fine with OC
