Kirby and the Forgotten Land is the most sell-through among Kirby games

it deserved it

Deserved, it was a fucking amazing game.

Another quarter or two and it will become the best-selling Kirby game, topping the original Kirby's Dreamland.

Sweet, Forgotten Land was a lot of fun. I can't wait to see what the next main game will look like.

all it's telling me is that kirby's friends were a mistake

>caring about how much a videogame sells
why does that fucking matter?

>caring about how successful your favorite game is
I'm not a garbage in. garbage out kind of consumer.

implies the franchise will continue on the path of the most successful title

The game sells because its on switch
Not because its good
Or is the switch Mario Party and Paper Mario the best of their series?

>successful
it's just consoomers indirectly playing with the market, Nintendie. your Nintendo stocks will never mean shit.

is that the new snoy cope

This is a moot point since the entirety of the Kirby series is mediocre as shit
Except for 2 games (and 1 of them is dream course)

>make shovelware kirby for 15+ years
>doesnt sell great
>actually make a good, higher-budget kirby game
>sells like hotcakes
wowwwwwwww how was i supposed to know that would happen? wow dude.

>good, higher-budget
lol, only because it's got a couple of cutscenes and Wii-era graphics

thats a huge step up from what kirby was getting before.

the dev team had historically struggled with a transition to hd prior to forgotten land
this is well documented in interviews
they've cracked their ceiling with forgotten land, no more shovelware

Always nice to see competence being rewarded.

pedos told me Star Allies was good

It crushed the other Kirby game on the Switch.

None of the return to dreamland rehashes were good

not to mention there have been other games in Switch that bombed (TMS, Sushi Striker) or were tepid in sales (SS)

This is the only game I've truly 100% completed. I'm not normally like that, but the levels were satisfying enough to do it. The endgame levels and coliseum challenges were a ton of fun.

I am glad it did well, it is a great game. That chart doesn't make sense to me though.
user, I know you didn't just call Planet Robobot and Triple Deluxe 'shovelware'

I know, just saying that a bunch of cunnylickers are praising it because of muh adeline

He was right. Good, but not great.

'sell-through' means the rate at which the initial stock sent to retailers was entirely sold to consumers. ie, the demand was high.

Stop sexualizing Adeleine you pervert.

>not over 5 million already
dead game lmao

Kirbo wins again
Star Allies when it came out? Mediocre as fuck game. Do not buy.
Star Allies now? Not great, but I'd say its good and worth playing.

I know it's not the same kinda platformer, but is it better than star allies at least?

it's one of the best kirby games out there

In some ways, yes. Kirby in 3D is a lot of fun and a breath of fresh air, but Star Allies his way better copy abilities and extra content.

Gotcha. But why does the scale say 400 at Forgotten Land and its marked as 4 million above? Is it trying to say it expected 400 thousand but instead sold 4 million?
I haven't played Star Allies as I was turned off with how plain it looked. The DLC seemed to help though.
I will say though Forgotten Land should be priced at $40, but I still enjoyed myself the entire time. Very few gripes, only minor nitpicks.

Awesome, this game was fucking great and I hope it soars to being the highest selling kirby game

Woah you mean on nintendo's best selling console in this infinite age of knowledge and availability the new kirby game sells GOOD??

All the usual ones are in this game too though.

For some context in the same period Sony sold six million first party games across all platforms (pc, ps4, ps5)

see

Holy fuck
I mean that honestly

>Star Allies his way better copy abilities and extra content.
no shit
it was built off of RTDL like every other kirby game in the last 10 years sans forgotten land
they worked on the friendship heart mechanic and then slapped new levels on top of it
it's an RTDL level pack like Triple Deluxe was.
