Still the best Xenoblade game
X
HELLO IS THIS THREAD ON?
uhh yeah yea
It's my favourite but I get why people don't like it
Agreed.
I'm loving 3 so far but playing it is really making me realize how my taste has changed over time. I used to be all for a lengthy, complex story (and I still am to an extent), but I can't help but find myself wishing I could just explore the world at my own pace. The areas in 3 are huge and open, but it keeps cutting me off to focus on the story or a side plot. Maybe I'm still somewhat in the tutorial area (after nearly 20 hours, but I guess that's about par the course for this series now) but this Valdi quest is particularly annoying.
>get to Ribbi Flats
>area looks awesome, decide to explore everything before proceeding with the main quest
>have a lot of fun, eventually get back on track and head to the map destination
>now I have to do a hero quest that forces me to retread all of the same ground again
>whatever, get it done
>now I have to follow this stupid little robot to colony 30
>even though I already discovered it and can fast travel there
>epic.jpg
>get there, watch a cutscene where the kid starts crying because a robot he made 10 minutes ago gets destroyed
>even though he's been making war machines his entire life
Whatever, I guess that whole segment just left a bad taste in my mouth. Hopefully there aren't too many moments like this. I was fine with Xenogears/Xenosaga because you were either free to play the game or sitting back and enjoying a cutscene, whereas this feels like actively punishing you for going off the beaten path preemptively.
Meanwhile, in Xenoblade X you can fuck off and do whatever the hell you want whenever the hell you want. Don't feel like progressing the main quest? Then you can dick around to the other side of the world for all they care. Good shit. Even if the story WAS shit.
All it's got are good environments, everything else was so bad I dropped it.
as time goes on and we get more xeno games i only get fonder of it. Maybe ditching the story focus and just making a huge ass world to explore was the better move after all
UH YEAH
I've been playing 3 and goddamn I can't believe how linear and corridor like it is
>Best world
>Best battle system
>Best classes
>Best customisation
>Best robots
>Best side quests
>Best enemy design
>Best character quests
>B-but the story was lacklustre
Lmao filtered
>xenoblade but good
I guess the good do die young then.
>>Best enemy design
This is the one I always wonder why it doesn't go mentioned, same with armor design to a lesser extent.
The enemy designs in X are extremely memorable compared to the main games, and that's not to mention the destructible body part gimmick that adds a whole other layer.
Outside of smaller QoL issues, the only complaints I can sort of understand are
>bland story
Made up for with the sidequests/worldbuilding.
>bad soundtrack
Literally 2-3 bad songs in a sea of kino.
>ugly characters
True, but blame blame the modelers. The actual designs are easily the best in the Blade series.
>Literally 2-3 bad songs in a sea of kino.
The biggest issue I have with the OST is the best songs are underused and the worst songs are shoved down your throat
X better get a remaster/remake/whatever the fuck after 3.
Assuming it ever gets a Switch port/quasi-remake like the first what would be some things you’d like to see i.e QoL, better character models, expanded gameplay elements etc?
>X are extremely memorable compared to the main games
X isn't considered mainline?
I think take the original characters designs and use the XB3 art style. World is perfect. Keep the movement but change up the physics a bit so there's momentum to it. Also, you know, collision detection.
If they're not going to do X2 then surely a quick 5 hour epilogue can do the job
Awful game. Horrible pop in, abysmal story, unlikable characters.
Fun combat I guess.
It was until they decided to number the games for some reason. I like the idea of it becoming it's own subset series, but honestly it's probably lost in the past now
Cringe. The series is garbage.
Fix the horribly obfuscated party member recruitment and heart to heart requirements.
Either expand the party size, let Elma/Lin join as standby members for story quests, or give you the option to take whoever you want on story quests. The main game basically gives you one character slot to experiment with.
Make flight theme start only after reaching a certain height.
Add some more music tracks. Would be kino if they could bring Kajiura on again.
Somehow keep FrontierNav functionality because it was great to have on the gamepad.
Remove Tatsu.
And . XB2 proved Tanaka's designs CAN look good in 3D with competent modelers, and XB3 is just another improvement on that engine.
There's more but that's what I can think of off the top of my head.
I'd hate to see how bad the others are if this is considered the best
Only one Any Forums tricked me into buying
Let me change my party at any point in NLA, I shouldn't have to hunt down party members.
>lies, arguments that aren't even applicable to the other games and making the same point multiple times
You xcucks are so delusional it's not even funny. Why do you make such a big deal out of shilling for a mediocre game?
EAT
TATSU
>X
>Best
I'm sorry for your autism.
BEST XENOGAME EVER MADE EASILY
Dude, he looks like a potato lmao
