By killing russkie snownigger subhuman orks.
The game is unbalanced, Tranq Gun is too strong, First Person View attack too strong, and yet bosses on the higher difficulties are just silly how overpowered they are. Still a super classic
>*oink* *oink*
Is this a good stealth game? I'm coming from Splinter Cell and Thief
Tranq gun needs a headshot in order to trang immediately so in that sense its not unbalanced. Guards wake up quickly unless you put them in a locker
No. It's a phenomenal experience, as in story-telling, how engaging it is and how unique it is in both feeling as well as presentation. But it's not a stealth game. You have a mini-map that shows you enemies, camera is this weird 2.5d sort-of fixed angles and it plays from a pure gameplay perspective more like a pseudo isometric pacman. When you are detected you just get into a different room and wait the timer out and everything goes back to normal. It's very quirky in that japanese vidya sense.
But it's still in my top 10 of all time.
Its just passable as a stealth gsme, its more of a cinematic Sony experience to be honest
They are the only stealth games I enjoy. They play at very high speeds and encourage stupid tactics like putting porno magazines on the floor to distract 4 guards.
They are also full of really great interactivity like being able to aim your gun at their radios on their chest to disable the enemy from calling backup.
Splinter Cell and Thief by comparison are just very boring to me, I don't like waiting, and MGS has none of that.
it's been a month since you guaranteed that Russia lost.
>cinematic Sony experience
Really? Where are the walking sequences? Where are the moments where interactivity is ripped out in favor of following a character around while they spout unskippable exposition? Where is the castrated gameplay that is merely window dressing to serve a propaganda filled story that panders to the lowest common denominator?
I am all for shitting on movie games, but MGS is and was always a great game.
MOH
>minimap watching simulator
its not a good stealth game but every mechanic it has within the game is high quality and well made
OG thief is superior to OG splinter cell which is superior to metal gear solid of every type
This "game" is literally mostly codec calls and cutscenes. There are moments where you quite literally just walk from cutscene to cutscene.
>Where are the moments where interactivity is ripped out in favor of following a character around while they spout unskippable exposition?
MGS games, 2 included, have routine 10 minute long cutscenes in them. There is a 30 minute long cutscene in 2.
You're playing a literal MURDERER's game
Post games that Aged flawlessly and could be enjoyed the same way today, even without Nostalgia googles
MGS games are the only stealth games that try to actually be fun instead of just hide and seek shenanigans. Meme genre for people who probably enjoy shit like milsims.
Then skip them and enjoy the gameplay? DId you not read my post?
>interactivity is ripped out in
A completely skippable, i.e. optional, cutscene is not the same as a GOW2018 limiting your movement for 3 minutes while you hold some fucking pig in your arms.
lmao
Only two exposition scenes in the game are unskippable though, and they're both like 2 minutes long each.
I read your post you goalpost-moving nigger. Whether you can skip it or not is irrelevant, even if you can skip it, it's still annoying when it happens every couple of minutes. And that's exactly what happens in every MGS game sans V. Codec opens, you press the button to skip it, then you still have to wait a bit for the entire dialogue to fast forward and for the codec screen to close. Game still takes control away.
>can't see where you're going unless you stand stock still
lmao
Then you are just a retard. Might as well call a game shit for having loading screens in-between levels. You have no arguments regarding mechanics or actual game design within the games so you choose to complain about you having to press a button to play the game again. You are beyond help.
