Why is NTTE so demanding? I can run the regular game and ultra just fine but when i boot up NTTE i'm suddenly in snail mode

NT:TE runs way better on NTT 9944, but you have to join the d*scord to get that since it's a beta branch.
I remember that even the NT:TE devs didn't know what was causing the "Magic lag," but it seems like they may have fixed whatever was causing it, at least in 9944. I remember one of the hypotheses being something to do with NT:TE's own custom stats screen having to be updated with every frame, but maybe it was something else in reality.

MAKE SURE TO PLACE CATCH_ERROR.DLL IN THE NT DIRECTORY AFTER EVERYTHING ELSE OR EVERY MOD ERROR WILL CRASH YOUR GAME.
