Is it too late to start this game? I was going to download it but I saw a video about how new players are missing this, this, and that and they cant ever get it. Or even see thr stories for characters. Thats mad shit.
You already missed out on two years worth of stuff, but you can always watch those on youtube.
Elijah Rogers
why would anyone waste their time doing that
Levi Sanchez
just play botw with nude mona mods
Owen Wright
Alright. I'll catch Tower of Fantasy then. I'll make sure to start ZZZ and Star Rail as soon as they come out.
Thomas James
This does not exist
Owen Richardson
>there are people making FOMO videos for this shit when the only things people "miss out on" are subpar 4* event weapons every 12 weeks >the FOMO works
i have only not quit genshin yet because Star Rail isnt out yet just dont bother, just play any of the many games Genshin ripped off, such as Horizon Zero Dawn or Breath of the Wild, both being much more worthwhile to play instead of a gacha knockoff of them
Jack Hernandez
Why are you pretending to care about random gacha characters from a game you haven't played?
Jeremiah Cook
The only thing you missed out on are limited time events, which are hit or miss. You can watch the cutscenes on YouTube if you really want to.
Characters are rerun several times a year and all other content is permanent. Also, we're getting an entire new region in three weeks.
Connor Watson
I was told it wasn't a breath of the Wild knockoff? And that was a misunderstanding? I didn't like BOTW and that's why I never played "the Chinese clone" but it looks pretty fun. Am I being double tricked.
Are those regions always available?
Caleb Sanchez
i started playing two months ago, the game is fine to start now, by the time you do most of the quests, maybe 1/3rd of the chests, and get a nice handful of free rolls that new region will probably be available for a while
there is some grindy aspects of the game, particularly gathering tons of random shit to raise the level cap on your characters, some of which requires fighting the same bosses a dozen or more times each.
Xavier Perez
I can't tell you what to think, watch a gameplay video and then play it if your want to or don't I do not care either way the game is free you could play it right now instead of making stupid threads on Any Forums.
Jack Richardson
anyone who says it's too late to start is retarded
Robert Perry
it steals alot of the core movement from breath of the wild particularly climbing and the glider but most characters play different from each other with at most basic attacks being similar between weapon types (but not always)
it plays more like a single player mmo with alot of aspects ripped from breath of the wild.
be warned: the enemy variety kinda sucks until you get out of mondstadt and feels pretty alright by the time you get through liyue and go to inazuma.
James Stewart
The game is not kind to newcomers. If you get new characters you wont be able to upgrade them until you are allowed to travel to their country (and good luck beating those bosses with an ungeared party) Storywise the game also takes for granted that you have not only played all the main quests but also most missable events
Kayden Watson
it has nothing to do with botw, the only similar thing is that it's open world and you use stamina to climb and run
Nathan Richardson
Star Rail is going to be terrible though lol.
Ayden Moore
the game really isn't that hard to modulate difficulty and rarely you need more than c0 for 5 star characters let alone 4 stars where it is much easier, just build a team decently and don't advance world level beyond your ability to gear and level up.
Mason Ward
every time, every single time you retards say this but it's not true, you can get a character to lvl 40 with the trial
Easton Brown
The grindy aspects become less relevant the longer you play, when you start out you have to raise all of your characters, but later on you only have to raise a new character every now and then, they don't release them that fast. What others will tell you is that artifacts are the grindy part, but those don't matter much at some point, once you are at a certain strenght you can get only marginally stronger and there's nothing you are getting stronger for. As a long time player, don't rush one thing and then another, mix it up a bit and it becomes way more enjoyable, the fun part is the rest of the game anyways.
Parker Powell
I never understood people complaining about the grind in this game. It takes a couple of months to clear abyss(which is optional, so really the game requires no grinding) but after that grinding is just for fun. You barely have to level characters either.
Jackson Green
The robo raiden boss or even Azdaha can push your shit if you are not very careful or have a maxed out party. I can beat them in a breeze, but Ive been playing since day 1
Jason Gray
I've helped out a lot of newer players with bosses and domains, if you need help you can always just ask a few people and someone will help, also allows you to grind certain resources you have no access too if they are willing to lower their worldlevel (you'll probably need a friend for that though).
Tyler Gutierrez
all i can tell you for sure is that id recommend BOTW and HZD to anyone i the world before id ever recommend getting into genshin, this is coming from someone who was hopelessly addicted to genshin for quite a while all i can say is if you choose to try genshin instead of HZD dont say i didnt warn you lol
Joseph Moore
Yeah, and what about the talent books or even the artifact sets?
Nolan Ross
You sounds like a retard
Parker Parker
>people are responding to the falseflag discord tranny OP
Anthony Cox
it’s a gacha thread, “retard” is the native language
Ryder Cook
See and that's bullshit (if true). Shows it's a cash grab, maybe? If you don't want me to play that's fine its not like I don't have options but I'd be concerned as a long time player.
c0? Can you stop the world level from advancing?
Xavier Campbell
>talent and artifact before ar 45 nigga u retarded
Jeremiah Russell
>Ignores the fact the fact you get can to the end of Inazuma in a few days >Ignores the fact that the game is piss easy and can be cleared with starter character >Ignores the fact that the main plot does not rely on events at all, only individual character stories (that can be looked up on Youtube) It's never too late to start. You could start Honkai today if you wanted to.
Jayden Gonzalez
Yeah, I do understand that it looks like an endless amount when you start out, but it becomes gradually less until you just start working on random characters and weapons when you're done with the rest. Abyss is also only difficult until you beat it for the first time, initially they raised the difficult of Abyss quite a lot, but they stopped with that at some point and now if you are able to clear it once you'll be able to do it on basically any configuration.
Andrew Lee
what i do is quest when i find them, daily quests every day so i can do the story quests every other day (almost got all of those done, i guess hangouts replace them until more are added?) occasionally go chest hunting to reach another 160 for another free roll or two, particularly in inazuma where i can get the sakura tree leveled up for more rewards.
as for the grindy shit? i do a few world bosses for materials, then when i get bored and have leftover resin i condense it then do some artifact hunting.
i agree those two bosses can be a bit rough but you get plenty of help the first time you fight them and luckily i don't need their materials so i don't farm them right now, i just do the half costs on the ones i do need them from and call it there. (dragon, childe, and wolf)
Hudson Walker
Wait I just started playing this today and I'm already level 20 with 5 characters because they kept handing me gold and level up shit, and have done 3 tutorial dungeons with the arrow girl, ice man and lightning woman.
Are you guys telling me the story is gonna start not making any sense soon because I didn't play it from release?
Thank you for these replies. It's all I needed to hear to not play this. Guess I'll just wait for their next game since I completely missed this train.
Daniel Campbell
It's a fucking free game user, if you're interested in it start playing it and do this check every now and then >Am I having fun? Keep playing >Did I stop having fun? Stop playing
Why do you fuckers need random anons and youtubers to tell you how to spend your time?
Juan Bennett
You can't buy the resources so no idea what it has to do with money? Don't listen to random people and try the game if you're interested, or don't if you aren't, but what you'll get from this thread won't help you much, some of the people contributing here obviously never played it.
Ian Butler
>bunch of replies calling those 2 retarded >yeah bruh it's too late for me, oh no you have only yourself to blame for being stupid
Jaxson Lewis
Ignore the retards user, if the game looks good just try it. It's good.
Dylan Campbell
Haven't played in a while. Did they ever renew the "first time bonus" for buying primos?
Jaxon Sanchez
zoomers can't think for themselves
Evan Sanders
>he buys gems OH NO NO NO NO
Ayden Young
Play the available story content and then uninstall, the rest of the game is an aggressive waste of time.
Ayden Long
There are just some minor things that might not make sense, a couple times a year. Event stories are usually really contained.
Adam Ortiz
Why is this game still locked at 60 fps
Mason Wilson
No, you missed out on some things, but they aren't necessary, just nice to know. They even bothered to make some scenes different if you weren't there for a certain event (it's a few lines of dialogue and a character you didn't meet before due to missing an event, so they changed the dialogue a bit and give you a short introduction). All in all they handle it pretty good, people just like to blow things out of proportion.
Thomas Harris
Not really, the story is super basic. But characters like to talk about stuff that happened in events. Granblue had a system where some of the most story heavy events could be replayed at any time, Genshin should copy that (there are game file size restrictions of course, and a download system should be in order)
Christopher Russell
why not just do the bargain for $5 and be patient with a daily login bonus? 2700 primos and 300 gems if you log in every day and do nothing else.
sure you wont be able to whale at every single banner but it is certainly the cheapest option by a country mile and plays into your daily quests well enough
2 months of doing the bargain and daily quests would cost $10 and provide 9,000 primos and 600 crystals.
Justin Nguyen
They did awhile ago when Inazuma dropped. They will likely do it again when 3.0 drops in a few weeks, although unconfirmed.
David Wright
First year anniversary (so Raiden/Ei release), they'll probably do it again in about a month.
Chase Taylor
Any Forums users can't do anything unless some faggot user with shit opinions gives the okay
No. You can play through the story and get enough to do a good 20-30 pulls, enough for one or two characters that you'll really use. Unless you're going for min-max, you're going to go for a basic team formation >one character to proc elemental status >one character to proc elemental reaction >one healer >one physical DPS And then you're mostly be switching back and forth. You can get a free fire character doing a dungeon if the starter fire character doesn't do it for you. That combines nicely with the electric character to do pretty good burst damage. Ideally, you want casters to proc elemental status because they don't have to use meters to do so. The story is far along enough now that it should take you a good 2 weeks or so playing on and off to do all story contents and side-contents. There's the added mountain area and the dungeons to explore as well. It's never too late to start.
William Wood
Is the game fun
Charles Reed
You missed some story related to limited events, 5 or 6 mediocre event weapons and some stupid event loot but that's about it.
