Where did the hype go?
Where did the hype go?
took like 5 years to release and then what they showed looked shit
or, less dramatically, inferior to what already exists
Development hell took too long. I'm still gonna buy and play but I'm not excited about it. It just looks okay, not revolutionary.
The trailers mostly focused on the cutscenes which look trashy and bad and we barely know anything about new gameplay features outside of a few seconds of gameplay.
It looks censored.
This shit should have been a launch game for Switch or close to launch window. There's no reason a sequel to Bayonetta 2 should have taken this long to come out.
First trailer made it look REALLY rough, framerate drops and the gameplay looking slow as shit, along with Bayo's original VA not being bayo anymore really soured my experience with it. I think i'd rather see them do an astral-chain like thing again, as flawed as that game was the police detective stuff mixed with platinum gameplay was actually pretty interesting.
The slow kaiju gameplay really isn't for me, and it looks like Bayo 3 is gonna focus around that. The second trailer made it look a bit more appealing, and I think Viola's gameplay seemed interesting enough, but my god did that fucking first trailer sour things.
looks great but I expect nothing but shitposting on Any Forums.
The switch's graphics (or lack thereof) are grating specially now. This franchise either needs to move somewhere else or nintendo to release a better console
I'm excited, but obviously people don't want to make threads about it here because they will be filled with tranny talk.
I've enjoyed 1 and 2 but they aren't top tier for me. 3 looks decent enough but I'll wait before getting it, to see what people think and more importantly how it runs.
The concept of "the hype" is such middle schooler shit.
>yo, this thing's releasing!
>BE EXCITED!!
>ah ok it's gonna take a long time to come out
>BE EXCITED THE WHOLE TIME UNTIL RELEASE AND AFTER TOO!!!
I really don't want to whine but...PS3 graphics. In the year of our Lord 2022.
It looks literally the exact same as Bayonetta 1 and 2
Devil may Cry experimented with different tones and stories and we had games as different as 2, 3, and 4
Bayonetta has been around for 10 years and this looks like it's going to be the same thing with gimmicks.
I don't like the direction they've taken. I just want to fight angels and demuns as an increasingly more naked witch. I don't want to fight splatoon men that look like they're from space channel 5 in a gray bland city. I don't want to play as Poochie the rockin girl.
Bayonetta was never a popular series
Get woke go broke.
The pop idol motif completely killed it for me. This franchise can die now.
I just don't want to pay 90 bucks for a fucking artbook. And it comes out in October alongside other games that I want.
It should have died with 1.
Demon Masquerade looks like a terrible mechanic, and the kaiju gimmicky thing looks "janky".
I'm also worried about how terribly balanced this game will be. Between Demon forms, Kaijus, 3 characters at minimum (Bayonetta, Jeanne, Viola), and all the weapons; it seems like the combo scoring system will be a mess, and that some weapons (if they even are a thing, I'm also that demon forms have replaced them) will be completely useless.
I could also go on about how they ruined most characters' designs. Just look at Jeanne, Rodin, and Luka. They don't look "classy" or "stylish" anymore, they look like something you'd see in a sitcom.
Oh yeah, let's not forget the enemies. From "biblically accurate angels" to generic, green blobs - what an improvement.
The graphics are also outdated - yes, I am aware that it's a Switch game, but it still looks bad; even Bayonetta 2, a Wii U game, looks better. It doesn't look like something I'd expect out of a modern game, to say the least
Kamiya also keeps going on and on about how this game will be "accessible" to newcomers; which is a huge red flag, at least for me.
I'll probably buy it eventually, but even then, I don't know.
YOSHESQUE
What i'm getting from this thread is it's time for a reboot
Same thing DMCV and God of War did lmao, soft reboot the series with a new starting point
I've never seen a video game evolve as little as Bayonetta over the 13 YEARS it's been a franchise.
Put gameplay of the 1st game and third game right next to each other and they look EXACTLY the same in every way, from style of gameplay to graphical fidelity.
model is ,maybe model and costumes are modeled after his tranny crush.
switch, need i say more?
censorship was the main design but now has the uncensored mode to appease older fans they lost at first reveal.
DMC5 was hardly a reboot
I've gotten oicky with time so it's the only game I'm looking forward to this year.
Never was any (since 1 is the only good game) and the few fans with some interest watched the trailer.
I consider dmcv a soft reboot, it was trying what DMC4 did with a newer protagonist but did it right this time, then went full on into anniversary game tier
You feel smart now?
>it's time for a reboot
Its okay for something to just stay dead. There's nothing wrong with the original.
Franchises _will_ be milked
Because the other two sucked and were very cringe.
Don't call it V
Trannies.
nigga the logo has a huge ass V i literally forgot it wasn't called V
censored? check
held back by super weak and outdated hardware? check
inferior IP to DMC and Ninja Gaiden? check
I saw someone called Darkstalkers a tranny games? Explain to me?
Besides the shitposting
The design is awful, i am sure you can get better stuff if you pay some devianart guise with hotdogs than this abortion platinum came by with.
They can be more obvious that this is their panic response to Nero, and it's pathetic, the fuck Kamiya is doing?
Tranny has become the new 'Tumblr" or "SJW"
