>game expects you to die
>having even moderate FPS skill makes the sequence take way longer than it's supposed to
I ran out of guns with ammo to pick up and stood there confused until the AI finally started shooting at me instead of around me, fuck games trying to be "cinematic"

This is the first and only time I played Halo, and I enjoyed it. Tried playing the actual game and got bored on the mission where you're sniping things at night time and get teleported onto a spaceship.

these anons FUCK

I love the Maiden Voyage in Sea of Thieves. It does just enough to teach you how the world works, but leaves a lot of mystery. Even in the little tutorial island there's a lot to explore and secrets to find.

And it all concludes with it giving you the perfect feeling that you're sailing off to a grand adventure. Say what you want about the rest of the game, but this part is a masterpiece.

>Intro cutscene ends
>Immediately thrown into the open world and allowed to do whatever you want
It blew my mind. I'm curious, though, what happens if you push the bike into some water? Does it respawn? Does the objective change to tell you to go to CJ's house?

It took a bit for the gameplay to get interesting, but the presentation was great.

The Mall has it all, m favorite of the SH starts (I include the dream with a great setup and payoff for later in the game)

Aww shit, here we go again.

I was so fucking naïve and bought the game thinking we'd get gritty maps littered with muddy corpses and screaming casualties, each death having that RIP in peace screen before you reincarnate into another doomed guy's boots, everyone's fighting ability crippled by mass-issued rifles and watercooled machineguns. Oh, and trenches, didn't really see a lot of those for some reason.
