I've been getting into Numismatics/Coin collecting a lot lately but everybody young doesn't give a shit and everybody old that's actually into it often look down on me because I can't afford even a fraction of the shit they have and I'm also "le bad millenial". I'm 25.

If there was any kind of autistic collecting I could get behind, it would be coins. I'm not fluent by any means, but it is at least interesting. What's the rarest you have, user? Anything good?

I really don't have anything rare at all yet, most "coin collecting" I've done has just been trying to acquire silver and gold incase the economy shits itself and I don't have to sell anything I'm attached to. Only now that I have a decent pile can I get into it.
I just learned in 1892 the US mint made a commemorative half dollar celebrating Christopher Columbus 400 years before the coin was minted, and surprisingly they're pretty cheap (about $30, they have a silver value of $8 so not tremendously high premium) so once I get better I'm buying one. Right now just trying to get all of the silver state quarters on unemployment budget, after that I'll go for the America the beautiful quarters.
