Mitigate. Firing out of 8 barrels just means the heat is spread over all 8 instead of one, it doesn't magically go away.

That's how it is in Wolfenstein 3D and RTCW, it's awesome. They balance it out by making it eat through ammo, but it completely shreds people when you fire it.
