The fact that Three Hopes proved that Edelgard COULD be not retarded. Basically that game dismantled Edelgard's controversially nature because you can just point to Three Hopes and go "She did it like this though in that game?"

It made arguing about Edelgard's morals stupid because it got rid of any doubt what her motives were and pointed out how if she did have better options from her point of view she'd always take them.
It made Claude into a joke and left Dimitri unchanged.

Basically all the Lords are stabilized now and one isn't super controversial or a pure paragon without any flaws

Never forget that Edelgard was, and is, 100% in the right.
