I did something similar, I bought that save room re4 inventory style puzzle game. It was fun. But I 100% it in an hour and there didnt seem to be more content coming out. It was like 3$ but eh. Felt more like a free flash game.

it didnt log anything in my experience doing what i did other than the ingame save files, no hours, no achievements
i dont know if you can actually refund, but everything BUT the refund part worked for me, i couldnt test it because i bought grim dawn like a month before
so i had a complete god barbarian build and did a million achievements and played like 50 hours but none of it actually registered on steam
