Escape from Tarkov

These days, I tend to just replay my old favorites:
>Silent Hill 1-4
>Resident Evil 1-3 (OGs) + Remake + 4
>Afraid Of Monsters
>Cry Of Fear
>Penumbra Ep 1-2

Been waiting for good chance to try the Tormented Souls.

slay the princess
im usually not all into vn horror but it was enjoyable watching it
cooking companions dlc is another one
vn work surprisingly well as horror games and i prefer them to second grade 3d horror and even more to plain walking sims

I still go back to Get Even
>Tormented Souls
Terribly optimized on console. It's only 1080p even on Series X and PS5. I hope you're playing on PC

Hey it's pretty nice of that mannequin to just hand you the keys you need, calling me "horror" is pretty mean.

Are there any good horror games that feel like Alien?

>Terribly optimized on console.
Like I give a fuck. I became a PC-only mustard already 10+ years ago. Should've done it much earlier.

>Sound Mind
Music was ok

>First person perspective with ugly hand holding flashlight in retarded looking way
90% of horror games now, won't play any of them

tormented souls is a solid throwback game, it can be a little frustrating at times though. but since you're a fan of og RE and SH i think you'd like it.

what are some older ones you did enjoy then?

99% of horror games are just plain bad

I played murderhouse the other day, I know the puppetcombo guy has a bad rep for obnoxious jumpscares and vhs filters but I think it's noticeably better than anything else he's put out, the tank controls give it just enough meat for it to work as a sort of Resident evil clocktower mashup.

Try Anchorhead, it's a high quality Lovecraftian text adventure. The original version (1998) is free, but there's a more recent upgraded release (2018) that includes illustrations and various improvements.

It's an MP game, but latest one I've been playing is Phasmophobia. I had it for a while but I recently got a VR setup and it actually made it scary for me again.

Seriously who plays "text games" now? More to the point who gets scared from fucking words? Don't tell me, you also play and jack off to porn text games too? All this limited time you have left and you finna waste it on some archaic form of enterainment lmao

phas rocks

>Seriously who plays "text games" now?
Not many people. There's still a community though and they're still getting created.
>More to the point who gets scared from fucking words?
I don't get scared by any horror content at all. I just enjoy the mood that it creates and the types of stories you can read.
>All this limited time you have left and you finna waste it on some archaic form of enterainment lmao
If a game is good and I enjoy it then it doesn't matter when it was made or what type of technology it uses.

tfw no horror gamer friends

sneed

I only have one friend who plays it with me and we just play with randos. It's actually not bad.
Yeah and the the devs are super active. I'm glad the game blew up like it did.
