I watched 7 minutes of it and I felt like I was jumping in halfway through the sixth season of a show I've never watched.
And every character that wasn't Mario and the text-to-speak one was fucking awful.
Similar. I watched mostly when I was a teenager and new to the internet. and stopped really liking it around when story arcs started occuring. I gave it more tries but then when they started actually making too many ocs and decided to kill off a character, I pretty much just stopped completely. I watched it for the humor involving video game characters, not for ocs and emotional scenes.

In TGT's case, the OCs are intentionally designed to be either antagonistic goblins or shonen anime underlings. Even the more likeable ones like underbite troll or Jacko are never portrayed as "look at how cool my OC is". TGT even makes fun of them from time to time, like the emo troll smoking the cigarette from the wrong side. Them you have minor characters who don't really matter much to the story.
