The ps5 is flopping

>PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 software combined sold 47.1 million units in the first quarter of fiscal year 2022, which is down 16.5 million from the 63.6 million software sold during the same period the previous fiscal year.

These are terrible numbers for a 2 year old console. A console is supposed to see growth during its first few years but instead the ps5 is in decline. The attach rate of the ps5 is extremely low, people don't play games on playstation consoles anymore.
Also, Sony combines ps4 software sales with ps5 software sales to make their situation look less bad but even then it still looks terrible for them. Combining sales of 2 different consoles is pathetic enough.
So how can sony save the playstation brand?

Good. And I say that as a snoy. I hope they're forced to reverse the censorship policy and fire the incompetent CEO. The only reason I'll probably buy one in the future is to not lose all my library of games I bought on the PS4 once it's stop working.

Yes and there's absolutely no reason as to why PS5 and therefore PS5 games aren't selling well, is there?

Sony doesn't share ps5-only sales because the numbers are terrible
Every game that released on the ps5 so far underperformed, that's why sony went third party and releases their games on pc. Also why they're heavily investing in gaas.
Returnal flopped with 500k sales
Demon souls underperformed and sold less than 1 million
Miles morales flopped
Destruction allstars flopped because no one played it
Ratchet and clank also flopped with only 1 million sales

Oh yeah and nobody bought ghostwire tokyo

>>The Nioh Collection
that's a reach

This is what the ps5 exclusive lineup looks like. Minus returnal too because we know that game will come to pc
Absolutely dreadful

This is basically why I bought one as well. My PS4 was beginning to sound like an overheating jet engine so I decided I may as well upgrade. It’s been nice playing my PS4 library with improved settings, and the load times are amazing, but obviously dedicated PS5 software has been lacking. I don’t regret the purchase but I still hope they turn things around eventually. It’s time to stop releasing games on PS4 already.

Now show me the Xbox exclusive lineup

Can you make a post that shows Series X/S exclusives?

this is a good thing though, exclusives are bad

Reminder that Sony counts any free download like Fortnite as 1 video game unit sold.

Exclusives are good because they give a reason to buy a playstation. Without exclusives playstation consoles are worthless since they're just weak pc's and all multiplats are better played on a good pc anyway
Heck even the xbox series x would be a better purchase than the ps5 because it's a more powerful console

Why are there 2 Retrnals?

What games are on this piece of shit?
Why is the infotainment system almost inexistant?
Why the fuck doesn't it let me use my bluetooth earset?

Did Japs even make it or was it Pajeets in California?

If they ever hack this piece of shit I might consider it

The last good Playstation was the original Playstation

Even the ps3 had more than 60 million consoles sold at this point. 21 million is pathetic in two years. The ps5 is less of a sales juggernaut than the gamecube which was at 30 million sold in 2 years

Moving to PC fully

>Upcoming

which is a good thing... just not a good thing for sony shareholders and ceos. for consumers exclusives have no benefit.

Nintendo doesn't seem to have a problem

This, pretty much the only reason I'd ever consider buying one

>this board has been making sony is dead threads for 20 years and they still winning
lol

GT 7 flopped
FH5 sold 15 millions
Snoys don't even buy their own exclusives

>PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 software combined
Imagine actually being a literal Sony investor, and not even having any idea how well the forefront product of the business is doing.
Seeing that the previous frontrunner, the PS4, is still selling to some extent would be cool and all. But as an old product it's obviously being phased out, but how are you even meant to make any future predictions or forecasts about Sony when they refuse to actually share how much the new product manages to sell?

Being a Sony investor would demand you to either have a misplaced trust in their non-Playstation businesses, or to just have blind faith in the company. Because they give you nothing to go on. It's kind of messed up.

>literally on pace with the switch you faggots boast as the best selling console
>and that's under severe shortages that the switch didn't have as bad 2 years in
>47 million means no one is playing games on playstation
Lol I don't know why you're so obsessed with wanting to see PlayStation die. But it's not gonna happen. PS3 is still their actual only flop and they made it through to PS5

15 million with gamepass played FH5*

fixed

Ps3 wasn't even a flop. It outsold the 360
