This has been my first ESA. I like the different atmosphere to GDQ. GDQ has this weird walk on eggshells Stepford Wife style "everything is wholesome, everything is awesome, we're all smiling, we're all having SO much fun. Hey FOLKS, hey Y'ALL lets get that number up to 3 million! Lets meet those incentives! Good vibes only, no negativity or you'll be BANNED don't make anyone uncomfortable and we decide whats uncomfortable just KEEP. SMILING." atmosphere to it. Both with the runners and in chat. ESA it feels more authentic, it feels like people are just chilling and playing games together and being themselves. It feels relaxing. The only time I havent felt that was funnily enough the BOTW run with the American GDQ runners.

I've been wondering where I've heard that band Infected Mushroom that keeps getting played. They were the band sampled for the great musical piece "WELCOME TO THE CUM ZONE"
the gimick of crowd control wore off halfway through the first time they did it. I get that it raises a good amount of money but its just not fun to watch anymore thankfully stream 2 exisits so im staying there the rest of the night thanks for reading my blog
Logan Gonzalez
That displeases me
Gabriel Turner
You know that's randomized right ?
Kevin Garcia
Funny how GDQ manages to raise millions while ESA can't go post a pitiful 100k
Has ESA ever done a commentary bias before? That Mirrors Edge run was too funny.
Aiden Stewart
who else just threadwatching? both streams meh
Austin Smith
I know, I did that, and when i click the channel name which is supposed to take me to the video, clip etc. section it takes me back to the squad stream.

I've noticed its grown a lot this time around, even on day one but each day it actually grows more and more, and usually with speedrunning events it calms down after day 1 until the last day. Not just the twitch viewers but the threads too. The ratings have twice as many people compared to last time too, sometimes three times as many as last event.
I gues SGDQ was so shit it was the straw that broke the camel's back in terms of checking out ESA.

"Working" from home getting blasted while on conference calls
I'd completely remove the charity bullshit if it meant keeping ESA uncorrupted. I'm here to be entertained. I don't give a fuck about financing irresponsible parents that can't even keep their children from shitting themselves to death.
Yesterday was the weakest day of the week so you picked a crap time to start. Check at least the A/S runs from the backlog, or just follow the current ones with us. We can be bored together!

You can thank good old "Anonymous" for always donating 5 minutes before an incentive is met and always coincidentally donating the exact amount they need to meet an incentive.
Reminder that this past GDQ was gonna be the first GDQ where they weren't gonna top their previous fundraising goal (3 million this time) until Twitch and Yeti came out of nowhere and donated the exact amount needed for them to do so.
Its gonna get harder and harder every year as GDQ feels the need to top themselves each time, and so its gonna be harder to raise 3.5 million, and even harder with 4. Because each GDQ has less and less people. Plus now the recession's kicking in.
Thats not ESA's ethos. They even state many times fun first, charity second. If we make money, cool. If not. Its whatever. They're not trying to top their previous goals.

why are both rooms so empty?

At least ESA has flashing trannies.

I hate that The Netherlands is becoming the America of ESA so fucking much.
GDQ this year was just a series of long RPG runs that should have been on dead hours but were on prime hours because a staff member is running or couching intermixed with shit they've milked to death like TAS and rhythm game block.
Ayden Garcia
no one cares about these games I'm personally waiting for re5
Aaron Moore
I suspect people are having fun, it's the last night before everyone has to leave
Henry Ramirez
french accents are a long-running practical joke, aren't they? there's no way this dude actually says >'ere we 'ave to bress deux batonne >we wheel not use any bAgs in zis room so it's quite longUE I bet his friends dared him.
Lucas Rivera
ESA implemented new distancing rules.
Nolan Phillips
Everyone out playing board games/drinking/ dying of covid.
Justin Moore
There's nobody, I don't know why he asked for applauses when the place is totally empty. Maybe he wanted to embarrass the runner.
William Phillips
There's been a covod outbreak. People are being encouraged to stay in their rooms, it's why you're seeing masks in the audience on stream 2
Jonathan Gonzalez
Here are the lush, deep blue hues of the Cobalt Coastlands' water.
I cringe every time GDQ does a daily recap, because it's always >WOW! Today has been bonkers! I mean, did you catch the Pokemon Emerald randomizer?! >I sure did, Spike! But, for me, it has to be McDonald's, the ultimate fast food speedrun! >[laugh track] >Can we give it up for Lizstar! >[American noises] >I don't know about y'all guys, gals, and non-gendered pals, but the Omori run blew me away. I couldn't take my eyes off of the edge of the commentator's skir-... I mean sea-... I mean my sea-... I mean I couldn't take my eyes off the run! How about you, guy filling in for Keizaron? >I liked the Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance speedrun >There was no Metal Gear Rising run. >Bu- >There was. no. Metal Gear Rising. run.
You guys care about your fun than charities who're actually helping mankind? Talk about being selfish

French people don't use english in their daily lives, unlike countries like the netherlands or nordic countries, so it's practically impossible to speak without an accent
