I think about getting a new Screen, after years of using only 1080p/60Hz. And i dont know if Resolution > Hz

1600x900
59 Hz

1280x1024 75hz

You'll have to upgrade your monitor based on your GPU performance.
2k 144hHz is the sweet spot. 4k 144Hz is for 3090 users.

I have a 2070 Super, so 2k 144hz?

If your GPU is crap. Then buy a better GPU before you buy a new monitor.
You can't use a 1050ti with a 4k monitor.

Not on most modern games no

you don't need more than 60fps. stick to 60 and your machine will last longer for cheaper.

2k 144hz

>calling 1440p 2K

Big screen with calibrated colors. Yes, I look like a gigachad, obviously.

It's okay. If you're willing to play a little weird, try 21:9 super widescreen.

isnt 1080p 2k?

This, fucking zoomers falling for marketing tricks.

1080p/60.

As our good lord intended.

1440@144 is all you need even the numbers align.

800x600, 85z, black and white.
Perfection.

1440p 144hz is the sweet spot. It is the highest resolution you can get without sacrificing performance for most games. Refresh rate is just straight up more important than resolution unless you only play movie games. Don't believe people telling you that there is no noticeable difference between 60 and 144. For games that require precise timing of inputs like rhythm games or shooters it is absolutely noticeable. Even 120 is fine. If you can't have both high refresh rate and resolution though you should prioritize refresh rate. 1080p 144hz is better than 2k-4k 60hz.

Anyone uses a Lenovo G24-10 and can tell me if its a good one for 100€?

144hz unless you cant run games at that many fps but the difference in smoothness is incredible, trust me, 144hz is not a meme
nowadays id rather lower my graphics settings rather than play at 60

60hz is only ok if BFI is supported. Otherwise it's just a shit, blurry framerate.
Also 144hz is nice but isn't a multiple of 60 so it's annoying to use for general PC use, as 60fps videos or games running 60 without detecting VRR will look stutter-y, forcing me to set it to 120hz instead most of the time (but having the extra 24hz is useful for VRR, because 120hz panels need to cap FPS to ~116 FPS instead for optimal VRR performance while 144hz displays can use 140FPS instead)

I personally just have both 144hz 1440p ultrawide monitor and a 4K120 OLED TV for 60/100/120fps games + BFI. The monitor is just worse in general, I always have it set at 120hz instead of 144hz anyway for work&browsing and VRR is rarely the way to go for me, 90/100FPS VRR looks a lot more blurry than 60FPS + BFI on an OLED, and generally speaking, if I can reach over 120FPS@1080p, I can also reach ~1600p@60FPS instead, which looks great on the 4K TV with very similar visual clarity

>1080p 144hz is better than 2k-4k 60hz.
hard agreed but keep in mind not every games is a twitch shooter that really would benefit from higher FPS and there are in fact many more games that just will never even support a higher fps than 60.
