Laughably wrong. It's way closer to the core values of the series than the game directly before it, which tried to bait westerners with assloads of unskippable cutscenes and gacha mechanics

Yeah no it's a spin-off. If you actually want things like wirebugs and silkbind moves to be a mainstay you don't even know what Monster Hunter is about.
It's always funny how any criticism of Rise is immediately countered by "muh World". Every single time. It's incredible what an amount of butt hurt that game left.

I'm not asking anything. I'm pointing out that whenever Rise is met with criticism, people come out of the woodworks to call out World when nobody even mentioned it. Like the game can't stand on its own merits.
