What's the best LOTR game?

It's either BfME or RotK

RotK

I can't decide, but these would be my candidate picks:
Third Age: Total War
Last Days of Third Age
ToME 2.3.5

>all the good guys are white

>still no mountain climbing simulator

Unironically the movie tie-in games.

Fpbp

Battle for middle earth probably loses because the 2nd half of the campaign starts to slog hard and has more filler whereas RotK was fun as fuck the whole way through

The next best one is probably Third Age (the final fantasy X clone)
More turn based rpg's should have copied the ffx battle system

Two Towers

>recently finished reading the silmarillion, the hobbit, and FotR
>silmarillion was interesting though the chapter of Beren and Luthien was complete dogshit
>the hobbit was actually pretty fucking bad
>the first half of FotR is boring as fuck as it takes them forever to get out of the shire and tom bombadil is pure cancer
>second half of FotR really picks up and starts getting exciting
Sure hope TT and RotK are better than FotR and their movie adaptations

why the fuck did you read the silmarillion before the trilogy lmao

Hoblets not even once

Someone brought it to work unsolicited to show me how “incomprehensibly impossible” it was to read so I asked to borrow it and read through it while I was doing nothing at my desk. I had no intention of reading the rest of the series but another colleague saw me reading it and got me the hobbit + LotR set for secret santa

The mod for Medieval 2 Total War, called The Third Age.

Middle Earth Shadow of Mordor deserves a mention since it makes the Asscreed Ubisoft game formula fun by adding some actual flavor to the content. Too bad WB patented the Nemesis System.

BFME
Conquest

LOTRO

I personally recall Two Towers being better because tRotK was all about spamming that one broken move to get the best score.

Divide and Conquer for Medieval 2: Total War
Battle for Middle Earth 1 and 2
War of the Ring
The Hobbit (2003)
The Fellowship of the Ring (2002
The Two Towers (2002)
Return of the King (2004)
The Two Towers (GBA)
Return of the King (GBA)
The Third Age
The Third Age (GBA)
Lord of the Rings: Conquest
War in the North
Lego Lord of the Rings

This literally

Why do the hobbits wear such contemporary attire?

Because they're a race of Tolkien self-inserts

The SNES game was the fucking bane of my childhood.

Sil

damn i hope you appreciate your workplace, such a coworker environment sounds comfy af

unironically a great game that truly was ahead of its time. imagine it released nowadays where people are already used to stuff like chivalry and mordhau

Second half of FoTR is unironically peak kino

1. BFME2
2. BFME
3. Return of the King
4 The Hobbit

>T. 400 LB woman

I liked War in the North, playing with friends was peak kino. BFME2 is probably the best though
