i unironically find the lost easier just because of effective regen with holy mantle
i can consistently take 1 hit per room and be fine (which is how i often end up playing lole)

i agree, it's probably one of the more fun items in the game
i think the most fun i had with bethany was when i got an early monster manual, and one of my little dudes had a serpent's kiss effect, so it just snowballed
