I love all the games in the series, but it's absolutely unreal how much better 3 is than everything that's come before. I understand why people are shitposting it. I really do. This is a hard act to follow. It's tough to go back. I tried playing 2 again today after beating 3, and there's just no comparison and 2 was my favorite until DE. First few hours might have you rolling your eyes at the tutorial overload but even then everything that's happening is so fucking cool.
It's got some hiccups. Sure, the outfit selection isn't great (but it's better than 2's), and the reuse of most of its enemies is kind of sad, but what they've done here is incredible. This is the story Takahashi's been trying to tell for ages. I can't believe what they pulled off.
