Vidya terminology that makes you irrationally angry

>positive/negative K:D
doesn't make any sense. unless you're on a server with friendlyfire on or something that lets you get negative kills there is no mathematical way that your K:D could be negative. if it's 1:2 then it's still positive, just less than one.

Kd doesn’t mean shit, especially in games where people min max by staying in vehicles the whole game.

multiplicative/fractional KD doesn't sound as good

that only applies to "just want to get kills" fags. K:D is useful for judging the skills of people who actually focus on the objective. anyone can get a 20 KS if they just play like a pussy and never take risks but getting one while capturing a point is impressive.

t. negative k/d player

It’s not positive k/d, it’s positive k-d

so if I get 10 kills 4 deaths that's as valuable as someone who gets 46 kills 40 deaths?

You're arguably more valuable

depends honestly, 46 kills on afk isn't much but 10 kills on enemy top fragger? extremely useful

>gg
It's fucking sheep behavior, no one gets anything out of you typing it
it's a waste of time and chat space, to type it after EVERY SIGLE GAME.

yes that was my point

>t. never won a sportsmanship award

If you're managing to piss people off then it's can't be considered sportsmanship.

>immersive sim
Immersive WHAT sim? Racing? Flying? If it's a typo to begin with and it's supposed to be "immersion sim", that's equally retarded. How do you simulate immersion instead of being immersive? Call it immersive rpg or emergent gameplay fps or something. Anything but that retard term.

Why'd you word it like a question then

>If you're managing to piss people off
if someone' getting mad over a video game with a reasonably balanced match that's their problem.

>ludonarrative dissonance

nah that one actually makes sense, it's just used wrong by retards. "ludo" comes from "ludology" the study of games. when the story the gameplay tells and the story the cutscenes tell are different it takes you out of the story, assuming you care about the story at all.

>Game studies, also known as ludology (from ludus, "game", and -logia, "study", "research"), is the study of games, the act of playing them, and the players and cultures surrounding them. It is a field of cultural studies that deals with all types of games throughout history. This field of research utilizes the tactics of, at least, folkloristics and cultural heritage, sociology and psychology, while examining aspects of the design of the game, the players in the game, and the role the game plays in its society or culture. Game studies is oftentimes confused with the study of video games, but this is only one area of focus; in reality game studies encompasses all types of gaming, including sports, board games, etc.
