Fuck what anyone says, start with Sophie 2. Start with the best in the series, for any series, and if you like the game enough *theeeen* go back and play the older entries. For Atelier, Sophie 2 is easily the best in the series. It has the perfect amount of streamlining that dispenses the tedious shit while keeping the addicting elements intact.
