XC2 accepted up to 2.0., and iirc XC1 up to 2.5 for res_scl.
XC3 also accepts up to 2.0, but they fucked around with a but of other shit that results in this being far less noticeable with JUST that changed. ColReduction and tmaaNewUpScale interfere with this, combined with the fact that emulator res scale is fucked at the moment.
tldr: for optimal results, have to wait until shit gets figured out in regards to configuration (still like 100+ values no clue what the fuck they do) and emulator gets fixed.
