Who are some of your favorite vidya artists?
Vidya artists
Naoki Saito
Shinkiro
Akihiko Yoshida
whoever created this piece of art
How do you into croquis? Working on something for 15 minutes or less, especially without an eraser, absolutely destroys me.
Masaki Hirooka
He made Order of Ecclesia then disappeared for a decade and has now apparently worked on a Fire Emblem game. But Ecclesia is where it's at.
Akihiko Yoshida. His designs are minimalistic but effective nonetheless, unlike Kazuya Takahashi's bland horror vacui.
One of his designs for Agnès Oblige, from Bravely Default.
The dude who did the Wakfu art.
Xavier something. I've spoke to him during his live streams on YT and he's really nice.
Yoji Shinkawa
Old school Shinkiro
Great artist indeed. Verification not required.
I love Kojima so much, I own her art book. Her ink sketches she did for a bunch of old literature figures make me really want to play an RPG in that style. Loose ink sketches with lots of expression, akin to Hotel Dusk.
Jehuty is such a beautiful frame. Can make cockpit jokes all you want but damn the orbital frames are sexy. Makes the one drawn by Kazuma Kaneko look even more out of place.
Tatsuya Yoshikawa of Breath of Fire fame is great, unmatched in Dragon Quarter imo
I also like yoshitaka tamaki's iconic art which began with the first shining forces, then landstalker, ladystaker, alundra and finally culminating in Climax Stalkers/Timestalkers for the Dreamcast. Without him on board Shining Force lost its identity
Try /ic/, loser beginner.
I also really love Tamaki's art, but that's not to say that all was bad after. Suezen for 2 was pretty good and Hiroshi Kajiyama for the game gear games were alright too. It's just that after those two came the generic anime artists that killed Shining Force's identity.
Kazuma Kaneko.
I like Sensei, the Capcom guy.
for me, it's Tomommy Kobayashi, the best vidya artist
Some anons said already but Akihiko Yoshida is just too fucking good
