we really gonna cry about this?

yeah why not

imagine unironically wanting this to be your first experience of morrowind. lol, if not lmao.

>implying this will ever come out

skywind is never coming out anyway

doesn't imply that though. only that people want it to come out.

>it's a reinterpretation
>no, it's not just some random tryhard artstation pajeet/ruskie, IT'S A REINTERPRETATION

>modder high on his own farts and mindbroken from all the estradiol and finasteride goes from an honest fan to someone for whom adapting material is beneath him
If you told me, 15 years ago when I was modding supreme commander, that modders all over the world would eventually turn into hollywood writers I would've laughed you out the room.

It's a miracle they're keeping the writing 99% in tact. They said they're only adding a few minor things, and knowing modders it will probably be very bad jokes/references or it'll just read like it was written by a high school drop out who didn't get any criticism from modder hugboxes and is just stealing from harry potter or some shit.

Oh no muh Skyrim mod that's never coming out has shitty WOW monsters oh noooo ahh help me modders and trannies

If only you knew how bad things really are.

this is a joke right

No dude it's epic and BADASS. Holy awesomesauce.

um sweaty Ivan Ivanovsky (artstation.com/ivanovsky3d) worked very hard to bring you that model. the original looked bad anyway, I mean let's just be honest here and the design was stupid and ugly and made no sense. this is your last warning before you're banned permanently from our discord for literally harassing our amazing staff.

Remaking morrowind in later games is pointless because its built around highly specific systems. The results would be similiar to porting a super mario 64 map into skyrim.

I kinda like the idea for the arms/legs where you join two to make it THICC.
It does look better than the original walking rotted ham, but the decorations are what set it back: they should have simple robes and no jewelry.
Slap a chitin mask on it and you'd have a great design.
Heck, they could have different masks depending on the house they belong to:
>Redoran have bonemold masks
>Hllalu would have Obsidian masks
>Telvanni have Glass masks
Something along those lines.

why dont they have 2 versions?
one where they stay faithfull to the original and one where they put the stuff they want?

Dabbing on Morrowind fags crying their absolute filth getting upgraded by these God tier designs, stay mad that your glorified visual novel that is unity asset tier empty is finally going to be a good looking game with fun gameplay.

The idea is that it looks rotted and gross and has bones sticking through joints for added stability (hence the name BONEwalker, something that apparently got past the genius Skywind art team). They're sort of generic but just different enough from a default zombie. Eventually you find out the real purpose behind them, they're assembled and possessed by dead family members and this is considered a good fate by Dark Elves (or at least traditional ones) because Dark Elf culture is less about how cool you look and more about symbols and actions (the lesser bonewalker however is assembled and possessed by neglectful family members and it's said to be a tortured existence for those spirits.) There's still stuff in the game that looks cool but most of Dark Elf culture doesn't really care about that. If you start making more stuff cool it loses its edge and effect.

Mate, there's nothing wrong with coming up with a new design if it makes sense.
Bonewalkers, in the lore, ARE an amalgamation of ancient elves joined in a single body, reanimated with a powerful soul to guard their tombs.

How a game chooses to represent it however, can differ from interpretation to interpretation.
Making the arms/legs essentially two members stitched together IS faithful to the lore. And it contributes to the idea that these are walking abominations of remarkable strength and rage.
What they did wrong is the jewellery and accessories.
The weapon is made of the same metal as their shoulders? Why? Is it a strong metal to make weapons with? Then the shoulders are armour, but why would you only cover your shoulders?
Or is the metal decorative, and in that case, why would you fashion weapons out of them?
Maybe the weapons are purely ceremonial and never intended for actually fighting with, but then why does he fight you with them?
On the other hand, a weapon of that shape is perfectly designed to use the strength of it's wielder, meaning it is very appropriate for a Bonewalker, but at the same time, it's too gaudy and over detailed to NOT be a ceremonial weapon.
Same goes for the crown, it's silly and doesn't fit the rest of model. Replace it with a solid mask, that can give you the impression of the thing having a bigger head than it dooes, and have the masks tied to regional customs/traditions. Same for the robes: Ashlanders would fashion bonewalkers dressed in Guar leathers, while Hlallu would give them robes. Redoran would of course dress them in actual bonemold armour, but since bone can rot and break, you'd find a bonewalker with parts of his armour hanging and falling.

You have to also remember that Bonewalkers can be created by any necromancer, so seeing these guys in a Telvanni necromancer's hideout makes zero sense, nor would it make sense when a necromancer summons one to attack you. Also I really don't get the Thanos skin color, are corprus monsters going to be purple too? Cause they're the same thing, rotting dunmer flesh.
