Will we ever see a return of 2D isometric sprite based RTS games? I'm kind of sick of 3D

I will never understand why RTS didnt adopt Sudden Strikes ammo supply chain.
It stops rushing, it stops turteling, it adds depth and strategy.
no, it's like asking Disney to start making 2D cartoons.
>Sudden Strikes ammo supply chain.
Is it anything like in CoH?
I guess it's a little micro intensive to manually pick up supply boxes, drop them off, and have everyone come over to grab ammo
Even trying to place the boxes next to artillery and at guns can take a while if you don't have supply trucks
What kino is this?
>a return
lmao, wow you are a moron
there are 100s of indie games that use that art style
project zomboid off the top of my head
>project zomboid
>rts
You might want to delete this
Project zomboid uses 3d models and it's not an rts
Literally the two things stated in the op
Hidden stroke 3, a mod for sudden strike 2
no
RTSes have you spin enough plates as it is. Can you imagine doing ammo runs for hundreds of units in late game? SS isn't an RTS to begin with, it's an RTT.
There are actually quite a few games that use the same engine and look extremely similar, to my surprise. This isn't Blitzkrieg, I remember 1 and 2 very well.
Cool, not rts or rtt, don't care, didn't ask, disagree anyways
>gaming journalism
who cares what they say?
you actually listen to them? lmao!
I'm here for my (you) quota.
I would pay so much money for that. It also has all the checkboxes to create a very strong cult following if the devs give it some strong mod tools.

They were never really a thing, only sudden strike did them (and the first 2 strongholds)
