headphones vs speakers for gaming?

for me its the HD 599

I like using earbuds. Nobody else can hear the sound but they are less restrictive. Also no noise cancellation, I fucking hate the feeling when I cant hear.

Speakers ideally, but headphones are an unfortunately necessary compromise.

>headphones
You hear things better and you dont bother anyone

Sennheiser has treated me well

Tfw i cant use my studio headphones while gaming because my friends mics are so trash

Buttplug connected to the audio jack

try to step on your headband lol it will break lmao

for me it's some random cheap stereo speakers

ksc75 or bust

Headphones pretty much always. Better directional sound for FPS games. Earbuds in particular. DT700 when listening to music and playing an RPG. Rarely I'll use speakers (JBL 306P) if I'm home alone and I don't need to strategically hear things from the game I'm playing.

I got a knockoff brand called Behringer for 40 bucks off Amazon.
They're really nice despite this.

I don't know why people like these. They're open-backed headphones that sound exactly like closed headphones. It's like they managed to make the worst of both worlds.

JDS atom amp and dac plus my modified M1060's has me at my end game.

AKG K371
Simple as.

Go to rtings.

I have these exact ones and they shipped with the left speaker being about 20% quieter than the right. It works fine but I had to dampen my right headphone by 20% in audio settings. Beware! This is apparently a common problem.
