We're back and this is still a masterpiece in game design
We're back and this is still a masterpiece in game design
It will always be a masterpiece.
BotW and Odyssey literally saved Nintendo
I can't believe this game is almost 6 years old and not a single game had come close to it. Are other developers even trying?
trying sure
Agree. Weapon durability with no way to repair was objectively good design in this instance.
>Weapon durability with no way to repair was objectively good design in this instance.
Yes I agree. I've no idea why anyone would think repairing weapons would be a good idea in this game. Makes so sense at all.
Mediocre. Open world with very little to do outside of dungeons that are usually one of 4 repeating variations, easy boss fights, boring combat as everything you use breaks in about 2 enemies, no memorable music, porn voice acting, no anal
>most worn headpiece in all the marketing
>clips through every single sword in the game
Did they even try
Why can't you people get over weapon durability? The game had actual flaws and you just obsess over a deliberate limitation mechanic that makes the game more fun.
exactly
>muh "i like this sword and want to keep it forever"
okay, work for it. if its not a unique weapon, go back and farm it wherever you got it from.
Makes the game more tedious. I don’t care that the weapons break, I care how fast they break.
It’s a lazy mechanic. The whole premise is that weapons break so that players don’t just hog the strongest ones the whole time, when this could have been avoided by simply making more differentiated weapons that actually make the player *want* to have multiple kinds. There are a few with special effects, yeah, but only 3 actual movesets across the hundreds of them in the game.
reset the clock
Exactly. Shrines are peak Zelda
>120 3-minute puzzles with 1 biome and aesthetic
>3 short "divine beasts" with 1 biome/aesthetic
>none of the above are memorable whatsoever
this is the worst and most glaring feature of this shitty ass game. i would take a sequel to any other zelda game over a sequel to this piece of shit. unless, of course, they fucking FIXED IT.
playing through BotW was legit the best gaming experience I've ever had and I feel the urge to go back to it every couple months.
Unfortunately though I always loose interest after a couple of hours and I can't even say why exactly. Even the DLC wasn't really fun.
and by "fixed it" i mean actual fucking memorable zelda temples that are very long and full of puzzles. They've had 5 years and a plethora of ready-made assets, there's no reason why botw 2 shouldn't have at LEAST 16 full sized classic style zelda dungeons, except that they are lazy
>this person has gone on record as saying, and I quote, "anyone who doesn't praise BOTW is a stupid snoy, and snoys are always wrong"
>this person then went on to say that metacritic is never wrong
>when asked if this included sony games like TLOU, they proudly proclaimed them to be masterepieces since metacritic can never be wrong
>therefore they are a snoy
>therefore they are wrong in praising BOTW
Checkmate, senpai.
It really is. So many features that make you question why all games didn't work like it to begin with.
This image is more like a picture of your retard brain than any kind of reflection of the experience of playing BotW.
