>New game with a backing of a billion dollar company with a lot of stakes involved like shareholders, stream-it-or-get-blacklisted, license holders and etc
Wow, just wow, stunning and brave new glas shattering.

You just know the OP is a paid shill.

Not a fighting game. It's a platform-fighter or a "smash-like". The term "fighting game" confuses many, but these games are fundamentally different. "Oldschool" or "traditional fighting game" would probably be a better term.

So yeah, doesn't matter at all, even the playerbase isn't the same.

What else are PCfags going to play? Most don't know how to emulate Switch to experience console chadhood, and there aren't many hypy console ports for them, so this is probably the best game of the season for them.

Because unlike it's not-Smash competition, it's got a crazy roster that justifies its existence.

Remember when that fucking retarded Marvel Infinite dev defended the shit roster with the claim that players cared about functions not characters? I hope he fucking killed himself because.

This, stop posting clickbait created by fucking retards already who don't even know how the ebb and flow of consumer trends work.

im just waiting for legolas

>not a fighting game
>its a fighter
Why are you autistic?

People were really desperate to make this another Nick when
>It's fucking free
>It features a mix of characters you'd actually want to play in a fighting game
>It has a budget
>The characters actually function very differently from one another
>Discussion on the game wasn't (as) inundated with mentally ill pedophiles
>Discussion on the game genuinely wasn't focused squarely on the roster, when the roster did come into discussion it almost always focused on how to make characters fun to play rather than who "deserved" it because WB doesn't need a video game to exalt their IPs.

never heard of it

why compare a non fighter to fighting games

multiverse has a dogshit roster though.

>Super Smash Bros. Ultimate wins The Game Awards' Fighting Game of the Year (2019)

>The Games Awards

>multiverse has a dogshit roster though.
You having a laugh?

Life is simply unfair, Slap City bros.

>beta/early access game has lots of players, streams and constant videos uploaded in a weekend
>game flops because no one buys it once it's already out
Many such cases

are you this much of a terrible corporate drone?
literally all just marketing tie ins for warner bros.

>not a fighting game
That explains why it isn't dead

I bet this game had a higher marketing budget than the entire budget of every other fighting game combined

So how is it though
t. never played smash or smashlikes for more than 5 hours

>brand new game is being played more than all these old and run out titles
no fucking shit sherlock, and it will fall down under 10k in just a few weeks like all the other

>Game by Warner Bros has Warner Bros characters and affiliates
Woah... this is...

yeah that's what happens when games are in early access indefinitely

guess you are. enjoy your fucking cartoon lebron you faggot.

>Ludo makes NASB
>Remar isn't on the team
>the game ends up not playing like Slap City
At least we still have eachother.

All it did to promote itself was post a few trailers on their main channel. It didn't appear for any huge segments of showcases. It got a huge positive response from word of mouth around the tech test and closed alpha. It did the work to market itself but the reception is pretty genuine.

>Shitty fighting game that will be dead in a month or two.

paying streamers and """"journalists"""" is marketing. it shapes public opinion far better than any E3 or Game Award appearance would

>All it did to promote itself was post a few trailers on their main channel.
imagine actually believing that

>some dogshit I've never heard of is the most popular thing ever trust me
lmao, you marketers need a new gimmick.
