No, you just picked a shit one or your fat ass killed it. Mine cost a hundred euros less and has been one of the best things I have bought in years. The comfort likely doesn't come close to something like herman miller stuff, but I have not felt the pain in my ass and back that I got from my previous ikea chairs after longer gaming sessions for two years now.

It really depends. Office chairs can work but you have to sit in them in specific ways. You can't exactly laze in those sorts of ergo office chairs. I just use those folding camping chairs. Although you should probably use a rolling chair mat for it too.

There's some truth to this. I have a Steelcase Gesture from work and it's a garbage product. It's all plastic and isn't comfortable at all. I've got an Aeron too though and it's good.
