Western games has longer cutscene time than jrpg

>Western games has longer cutscene time than jrpg
How do you explain this?

the jrpg video in your pic isn't for the whole game

that said, we're well aware of rdr2's bullshit

Because RDR2 is a longer game.

FTFY

Jap games do this too

To be fair, Yakuza IS a jrpg. Beat'em up combat doesn't change that fact.

right, Bloodborne is a JRPG too

Death Strandings ending felt like 2 whole hours of just staring at the screen and the game wouldn't stop, easily worst part of the game

Iirc, the 12 hour Xenoblade vid is main story cutscenes only. If you include all other cutscenes for character quest lines, heart to hearts, etc it was a lot more. 25 hours or something.

Normies LOVE the cinematic experience as long as it is not anime

>kino is better than kiddie
kill yourself groomer

Products with excess amounts of cutscenes are NOT games.

>b-but what about gameplay ratio
Nope, you hate the gameplay since you are so averse to the idea of removing the story. A person who loves the gameplay would vomit blood and shart pure rage at the thought of a game taking them out of the action to watch a cutscene, even if it was 0.0000000000000001 seconds long.

you are not movies. Stop acting like movies. Start acting like games.

Bro, you can literally fuck around forever I'm the open world and it's radiant AI and not touch the story

As if it's a surprise. The West cannot into storytelling, they need like 3 hours of cutscenes to do the same thing a Japanese game does in 5 minutes. That's why you never see westcucks discuss anything story related. There's no story in their games, just thousands of lines and hours of cutscenes where nothing of note happens.

Yakuza has everything the more classic JRPGs have. A lot of dialogues and NPCs, optional content and quests, minigames, equipment, crafting, character development (stats etc.) and so on.
And there are JRPGs with more action-based combat than Yakuza.
Take a Tales of game, change its combat to Yakuza's and... it magically stops being a JRPG?

call of duty is an RPG

>classic western soulful kino
>vs
>bing bang booh wahoo for literal manchildren retards
wow

>implying any video game storytelling is good

A balanced opinion for sure

I liked Xenoblade 2 for its characters and worldbuilding. Will I like RDR 2?

This. Anime is for trannies.

I hate losers like you.

I think I never played a game with more than 2 hours of cutscene.

I mean, in a world where ASOIAF is considered good, I wouldn't hesitate to call some video games masterpieces of storytelling.

Oh please, what does the OP give us as an example?

>a lawless mercenary cowboy who randomly spews current year politics
Or how about
>a game whose most emotional moment is "Rex-kun, please touchu my breasts"

THIS is the highlight of the cinematic genre?
