It's too esoteric

unironically would be better if the Roguelite mode was a side mode
Josiah Morales
and that's a good thing
Christopher Diaz
i dont care about orbs or secrets at all. i just click new game, head down, and beat the boss
how a game should be because i dont have the time or autism to give a fuck about random secrets that you cant figure out without spending thousands of hours in the game or looking it up
Landon Evans
it's the good kind of esoteric. keeps people like you away.
Kayden Morris
it's not even that complex or esoteric
it's that it becomes a fucking chore trying to get 34 orbs
takes +5 hours per attempt, and unless you take the perks that elminate entire mechanics (good game design) you can die in seconds to something dumb
true ending is not a game, it's a half time job
Christopher Nelson
yeah ive seen that they take a long time and i dont get the appeal at all. they should have just added more terrain mutators, special encounters in each area, more enemies, spells, have actually random wands in the starting area, alternate biomes, etc
makes no sense to put so much behind menial bullshit
Ian Evans
I put 50 hours into this and have never reached the bottom.
Cameron Cox
That's pretty normal. Are you still having fun with it?
Jack Rodriguez
maybe if 40% to 60% of the total playtime in a run wasn't you slowly waddling / tping to the next location it wouldn't be so tedious
Brandon Ward
shit like the true ending and orb collecting and all other autistic shit shouldn't be done in one sitting also just use exploits to make it easier
trying to do autism quests like the entire sun/moon sequence should be an endgame thing for you to do
and the eye messages and cauldron are severe cases of autism that haven't been finished yet, although I might have an idea about the cauldron
Nathaniel Smith
Game would be better if the start was more random, I find I can only get one or two decent runs a day if I play all day, mainly because I get one good one die then try to rush back to where I died and doing that causes me to miss good wands and other stuff which just ends up getting me killed if I progress too fast.
Adrian Allen
Your mom esoteric's deez nutz, filthy casual.
Caleb Peterson
>progress to fast
>get to hisii base in 4 minutes
>can't kill shit
>progress to slow
>spend 32 minutes in the first 2 levels and side areas
>die to some bullshit
every single time
Justin Hughes
In medias res too hermetic
Aaron Johnson
Hermes TRISmegistus was too based
Ryder Perry
I can't even imagine the massive amount of schizophrenia this game would inflict on someone exploring it all alone without any forums, Internet or real life friends spoiling things for him.
Playing it on release day and hearing the orb sound and not knowing what it was already enough to give me a serious obsession
Tyler Gutierrez
yeah some people can't handle it
Sebastian Thomas
Do you not understand how the wand system works? Or did the game become much harder since I played it on release?
Tyler Jackson
>in medias res too hermetic
what the fuck did he mean by this?
Jonathan Hernandez
>devs made the game THEY wanted and built its own fans over time.
Based.
Nathaniel Mitchell
probably focusing too much on side stuff instead of just going down
Carter Brown
>get decent non shuffle wand in mines
>first temple critical hit+, chainsaw
>make strong early game wand
>progress to coal pits
