Where was this level in Mario 64?
Where was this level in Mario 64?
the secret level with Yoshi in it. duh
it's a simplified version of the area in front of the castle
bowser was added to make the cover exciting
you will never be a woman
In the 1967 Gay Bowser build.
its green green plains. after you go inside bowser's sub and defeat robo bowser. the real bowser flies his airship to the plains and you follow him
So I heard that the N64 had an insane GOU that was made for rendering 3d movies and no one ever got even close to unlocking its full potential because there was fucking no documentation about it. Is that true?
>he didn't find the Windows XP painting
gou?
I assume you mean GPU.
And, kinda. They didn't get proper documentation from the manufacturer, in recent years experienced developers have reverse-engineered the games emough to figure out how to truly optimize them properly for the hardware. There's an effort to get SM64 running 60fps natively that's really damn close to achieving a locked 60 throughout.
not quite, the processor that it uses is the same architecture as Silicon Graphics workstations, just massively scaled down in power so that it's actually affordable.
for reference, the workstation computers that also doubled as n64 dev kits cost up to $100,000 for one that had maxed out specs
>There's an effort to get SM64 running 60fps natively that's really damn close to achieving a locked 60 throughout
Kaze already did it (and works on an actual n64) and is already applying it to his new hack.
This must be from the gigaleak because that quality is too good and the bottom of the hill was always cropped
steins;gate lore moment
the nigga who did that is a fucking hero nigga has an amazing haxx0r track record and basically gets away with it cuz he autistic and shit lmao
They’re running on Yoshi’s giant toes ha ha
Man even just looking at this picture makes my heart flutter.
It's an emotion nothing has managed to provoke in the past 20 fucking years, but here it is now.
Why do we even keep playing video games if it will never feel like it did back then? Why are we here?
I always thought it was creepy how Bowser was chasing Mario like that.
the most underage post I've seen on this site in years
>those windows 98 clouds
im sorry you don't get the funny gaming reference user
So long, gay bowser!
i feel like Mario design peaked in the N64 era. Mario as a concept was still being heavily played with and Mario as a character felt different between each title. They were still playing with ideas in the Gamecube era but Mario as a character was much more streamlined and became the boring plumber who does nothing but smile all the time.
He definitely gets played with, by Gay Bowser
this was my favorite secret level
>Why do we even keep playing video games if it will never feel like it did back then?
Because we're dumb.
I remember thinking Bowser had a gem on his forehead based on the tiny version of the render on the cartridge
